EQUIPMENTS HANDLED ONBOARD PRINCESS CRUISES :
- A-Pass : Onboard system for checking passengers in and out of the ship and keeping count of passengers gone ashore.
- X-ray : Screening passengers and crew belonging on return to the ship.
- Walk Through Metal Detector (WTMD/Archway) : To check for any metal objects a person might be carrying on him/ her.
- Hand Held Metal Detector : Physical check lf a person if he/she sets of the Archway alarm.
- Explosive Detector (Sniffer) : Used to check baggage for explosive.
- Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) : Watching surveillance cameras and monitoring activities going on at all exit/entry points of the ship in Port.
- Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) : A loud speaker used to inform and keep away any boat approaching within 50 meters range of the ship.
- Itemizer : A device used to detect explosives and drugs.
- Intoximeter : Device used to breathalyses any intoxicated person.
- Modular Vehicle Barrier (MVB) : Barriers that are used to stop a vehicle with a speed of up to 120km/hr.
- Bullet Proof Doors : Bullet Proof Doors that are attached to the Shell Door when in Port.
