Job Description:
To enable the organization enhance its activities on national scale. To develop and manage charity campaigns with the goal of creating awareness about the activities of the trust. Typical job functions include applying for grants, fundraising, budget setting, administration, working with team of staff and volunteers, handling public relations and providing advice or information to improve work efficiency of the team.
The job further includes:
• Recruiting, briefing and managing staff and/or volunteers to assist with campaign administration
• Identifying and cultivating potential individuals who can become successful advocates of the campaign
• Raising awareness among key decision makers about the vision, mission and programes of the organization
• Approaching and gaining the agreement of a suitable celebrity to be the figurehead for specific campaigns
• Negotiating favorable rates with local and national media for publicizing the campaign
• Preparing campaign materials which may include documentation, media advertising, SMS messages and a dedicated website
• Addressing public meetings and generally being an ambassador for the campaign
• Liasioning with individuals and departments within non-profit organizations to ensure that the results of the campaign – donations, offers of help, etc – are processed efficiently.
