    Planning to migrate to VBulletin

At the moment we are using a free forum PHPBB3.
Soon in a weeks time we will be moving to Vbulletin software.
It costs a lot but well over the worth.
We will have more feautures and is considered more secure.

Re: Planning to migrate to VBulletin

Yesterday I did a test migration and is fairly successful.
Forum looks more professional and I like what I see.
Could not retrieve the attachments from the current board.
Hope we can live with it though I will try to retrieve the attachments also.

Final migration will be finished in a couple of days.
The board will be closed for a few hours during migration.

Well, the caveat with the wole process is that the registered users can not log into the forum with the old password. If they have a valid e-mial, they can request a new password for the id with which they registered. With the new password they should not have any problem in logging in.

I understand it is a bit of a head ache, but is inevitable.
I know that the registered users are not in large numbers.

Also some of the old smilies may not work anymore.

Thats it folks. We will meet again in a day or two in the new-look board. :D

Ya. We succecssfully moved to the new board.
To me this place now looks a lot better. What do you think.
Lots of new features and many more forums for jobs.

I am sure you will love this new look.
    Have your say.
