Job Description:
CIVIL ENGINEER ( 5 Posts) è Reporting to a Department Head or Project Manager, provide technical supervision of a defined scope of civil engineering and construction activities.
Develop technical specifications, supporting calculations and technical reports in support of project bids.
Review all architectural and structural drawings and ensure adherence to all applicable design and regulatory codes and standards.
Assist in the development of the engineering and construction schedules for all civil works.
Lead the development of quality assurance standards and monitor the work of all sub-contracts.
Ensure all drawings are kept up-to-date and that a full set of as-built are available and documented.
Prepare steel bar bending schedules.
Undertake regular site supervision, inspection, and quality assurance visits.
Prepares scope o f work change orders and documentation when required.
Working with Quality Control Engineers, facilitate the smooth and expeditious resolution of any project design, material or construction issues with the Consultant.
Civil engineering degree from an accredited university with applicable profession memberships and certification.
Two-five years of discipline specific engineering and construction experience.
Proven technical and project supervision / quality control skills.
Knowledge of applicable construction codes and regulations.
Ability to work to project deadlines and within budget targets.
Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
