Job Description:
1. Handling all statutory matter (i.e. Income tax, RBI, Professional Tax, Service tax, company law matters, TDS returns, trust a/c's) for all group companies Handle income tax calculations of employees, prepare payroll by the last day of the month and ensure disbursement by the last working day.

2. Supervise and guide staff in day to day maintenance of accounts of liaison office, ESS and SIMS. Prepare final accounts of these entities including depreciation calculation and notes to accounts. Handling Audit matters of all entities. Liaise with Head Office regarding audit observations

3. Implement and strengthen systems in accounting and other operational processes in consultation with senior management.

4. -Overall checking of vessel correspondence & ensure that each and every message from vessels are replied by respective person handling the vessel a/cs.

5. Liaise with banks, suppliers, senior management regarding issues

Desired Candidate Profile:
The candidates should be CA, below 35 years of age having 6 - 10 years of experience in a similar role in shipping industry. Command over spoken English & ability to draft creative & smart communication in excellent English is a prerequisite. The ideal candidate should have entrepreneur’s business acumen to maximise revenue by increasing productivity by giving 360º feedback to all centres at various levels. An all round exposure of operations of various departments in a large scale organization will be effective in monitoring the corporate accounts.

Ability to understand the business operations and systems and the interrelation between functions and processes, Knowledge of Direct and indirect Tax, Company and commercial laws, Accounts and finance including consolidation of accounts, fund management and treasury at macro level, proactive and take initiative to learn and teach, time bound reporting to top management and should possess strong analytical skills and leadership qualities to handle a department independently.
