- Carrying out Fire Safety Audit / Risk Inspections ie: Identifying loss causing events or potential hazards involving personal, plant, services & operation method which can lead to fire and / or injuries to employees, third party and surrounding population and suggesting loss minimization measures. Review of active and passive fire protection systems viz: Fire extinguishers, Fire hydrants, sprinklers as per the OISD & TAC rules.
- Physical evaluation of plant utilities, equipments and accessories based on Indian guidelines and to suggest any measures to avoid accidents.
- Conducting Job safety analysis. Identification of work practices causing potential risks to employees, ergonomic issues and review adequacy of PPE’s.
- Qualitative Process Risk Assessment. ( Screening based on hazardous properties of chemicals, engineering judgment & past history)
- Review of chemical compatibility in storage areas & to suggest appropriate fire loss control measures.
- Carrying Electrical safety audits ie: evaluation of electrical systems based on electricity rules and acts.
- Doing Accident analysis ie: identification of the loss causing event and suggesting remedies to prevent future occurrence.
- Evaluation of safety management systems, work injury prevention, health hazard control (Occupational Health & Safety Audit) and suggesting remedies for their control.
- Exposure to HAZOP.
