OUTLINE OF DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Heading a Team for Setting up and maintaining a system of internal controls & checks, which provide the most effective control on the assets and revenues of the company and the timely financial reporting of the operating results.
- Supervision of all accounting records of the company which is maintained in the manner prescribed by the operator and ownership. Similarly submission of all reports and financial statements on time basis in accordance with the instructions prescribed by the Head Office.
- Fulfill the requirement of all Standard instruction and memorandums issued by the Head Office.
- The safekeeping of all leases and contracts and any other legal records and documents which may affect the financial status of the hotel.
- Handling Local tax matters including all taxation part which is liable on the property income and other taxes.
- Checking of Daily Operations Report & Bank Position flash it to General Manager (Finance) and Managing Director.
- Preparation of all financial statements viz. MIS, Debtors, Creditors Monthly Statement (Age-Wise and in Normal Format), accounting and statistical reports and any other reports required by higher authorities.
- Assist in preparing, in conjunction with the other department heads, Operations Manager & General Manager, both the annual and revised budget and forecast in the format required by the Corporate Office. In addition to the preparation, person is responsible for reporting the actual results as compared with the forecasted results.
- Looking after the work of finalization of Balance Sheet, Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and others required at that time.
- To supervision of day to day accounts routine works like Billing & Sales Reports of conference, parties, and rooms.
- To look after and control all the administration work like employee strength (Permanent & Casual) & reshuffle the same as required for the operation in weekdays as well as in weekend.
- To dealing with suppliers of raw materials for purchasing of material.
- To Preparation of Debtors & Creditors statement (age-wise) and follow up as required for collection and Disbursement.
- To Preparation of weekly/monthly/projected sales & occupancy reports with grouping like packages sold, conference billing, parties held and other miscellaneous sales.
- To Preparation of MIS for ready reference of Management.
TAXATION & GOVT BODIES
- Vat/Sales Tax : Preparation and Submission of VAT and CST Return with all necessary accounting records. Dealing with govt. bodies independently in regards to audit, assessment, hearing and other matters.
- TDS : Supervision of Tax Deduction at source accounting part, viz. Checking of expenses (whether covered or not covered in TDS), rates of deduction, deposit date, posting date and submission of TDS return on time. In addition to this also responsible for calculation of TDS on Salary and timely deduction.
- Service Tax : Computation of Service Tax applicable of concerned services, deposit of tax and filling of half yearly returns.
- Provident Fund : Calculation of Provident Fund , Preparation of Challan, deposit of Provident Fund, and submission of the return on time.
- ESIC : Calculation of ESIC as applicable, their deposits and submission of return on time.
