Problem of wheel wobbling during trial of M&M Bolero was solved by modifying torque wrench meter. Wheel wobbling occurred due to missing Check nut and washer in stub axle assembly. The torque wrench meter was modified by adding socket with sensor which senses the missing part while giving the torque. Hence reducing the time required for checking.
Project B : Company Name: Supreme Autoshell India Pvt. Ltd., Nasik
Problem of latch fouling of brackets on striker rod of second row seat of Xylo at Lear Final Inspection was solved by holding the two brackets in proper position by means of fixtures. During welding the centre distance between the two latching brackets was getting fired. The centre distance of 305.7 mm between two latching brackets was maintained by using two solid metal bars to hold the brackets in proper position during welding operation. The fixture is a solid metal bar having cross section at centre and two central hole cylinders are welded to both the ends of the metal rod.
