Skills/Qualifications:

7+ years in sales, internet sales experience preferred.
5+ years sales management.
BA/BS or equivalent.

Ad Operations Executive

Reporting to: Business Operations Manager
Location: Mumbai, India

The Ad Operations Executive is responsible for the accurate implementation and delivery of campaigns sold by Sales Team/Agency. The role of the ad operations executive is to ensure delivery for campaigns in terms of impressions (page views)/ clicks and revenue recognition within the timelines.

The desired candidate is detail oriented, and great at multitasking and prioritising. The candidate should possess administrative, communication and inter-personal skills & enjoy working in a pressurised and fast-paced media sales environment. Success will be determined the candidate?s ability to coordinate with the Sales team/ agency to ensure smooth progression of campaigns and ultimately the success of the Search team against its financial and non-financial goals

Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with the Business Operations manager to monitor, schedule client orders and recognition of revenue.
Frequent liaison with clients and agencies for creative.
Daily liaison with sales team to ensure smooth progression of ad campaigns and feedback to sales person as to campaign performance.
Provision of all round support for sales teams and advertisers.
Qualifications:

Basic proficiency in HTML and Excel. Should be able to work independently and within a cross functional team environment with strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Head of Sales Strategy

Reporting to: Director Sales
Direct Reports: Sales Strategists
Location: Mumbai, India

Purpose
To assign accountability to one individual who will lead the charge in creating and managing deep expertise in key vertical categories

Having a clear vision for how to build a significant business in key vertical spaces. Creating, implementing and managing the strategy for each of the key vertical spaces to execute that vision. The strategy would include product needs, marketing objectives, sales support plans and the go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities:

Strategy:
Set the vision for key vertical categories
Create plans to build the business that will execute on that vision
Execute the plans for each category


Marketplace and Customer Knowledge
Identify industry trends
Identify key marketing strategies, challenges and needs of the each vertical category
Identify new opportunities for growth and/or pending challenges for the industry
Assess how to secure revenue by complementing other media
Determine Yahoo! USP relative to the competition
Create the list of top accounts in each category and metrics for their businesses in their category
Evaluate the competitive USPs and SOM with Rediff, MSN and Google


Yahoo! Product Knowledge
Develop a command of the solutions-oriented programs successfully executed for that customer base (case studies)
Work with the business units to identify and create the core opportunities across the Yahoo! network
Understand all new products and the role they play in the needs of the core customer base
Participate in discussions around new products and the relevance for the category and revenue potential associated


Business Requirements
Develop and implement strategic plan for key categories
Implement a communications plan with your team members
Set category pricing with the Sales Director
Train the sales team with regards to industry expertise
Lead the ad sales forecasting process working closely with the Sales Director for each category based on market trends
Contribute to the BU forecasting process at year end
Create a collaborative environment between Sales Strategy, Sales, Sales, Sales production and Sales Operations.
Create strategic plans in conjunction with the account reps on the top accounts in their category


Yahoo! Knowledge and Collaboration with the Business Units
Make recommendations on the development of category specific content in conjunction with marketing
Identify accounts with alliance potential
Partner with the BU to understand their business model to contribute where appropriate to discussions regarding their revenue model (i.e.:ad sales vs. reservations)
Drive the creation, in conjunction with the sales producers and marketing, customercentric programs vs. content centric packages that better meet the advertiser needs


Marketing
Identify and prioritize the research studies to be fielded and purchased in conjunction with research and marketing
Become the Yahoo! Representative for vertical category expertise both internally and externally including providing the voice of Yahoo! at vertical events and speaking engagements
Identify key trade shows to attend and work with marketing to determine the appropriate resources allocated to them
Collaborate with trade marketing regarding sales presentations and collateral materials

Sales Producer

Location: Mumbai/ Delhi, India

The Sales Producer has a pivotal role at Yahoo! India in ensuring strategic and executional excellence in the programmes that we implement for clients. This involves leading a team at a national level which works on designing creative and innovative, yet profitable solutions within the capabilities and functionalities of Yahoo!, managing internal and external resources effectively during implementation and building expertise and experience in specified industry verticals over time. There are two main internal customers of the Sales Producer: the Production team who develop strategies to build the richest and deepest properties for our consumers and the Sales Team who deliver tailored solutions for clients. The Sales Producer manages the interests of both of these groups whilst being driven by the need to scale profitable revenue.

Responsibilities:

Media Sales Support
Support on development of promotional concepts for clients. Develop Mock Ups and Interfaces.
Checking and testing of flash and rich media ads.
Monitor campaign delivery status.
Offer media recommendations.
Compile post-campaign evaluations.
Develop and manage timelines, resources and budgets.
Project management of campaigns from sign off to execution and post review including being the liaison point with external and internal resources.
Property expert & will be representative for internal teams (sales, etc.) and external clients and/or agencies (on calls/pitches/proposals).
(External customers: Current and potential global content and media partners that have revenue or potential revenue opportunities for properties. Internal customers: Sales, Production, BD, Client Ops, Account Management, Engineering, GUI, Marketing, and Finance)
Attend clients and agencies meetings to understand campaign details Work with client and agency on creative execution of ads and working closely with sales to fulfill all client queries.

Monitor Yield rates during campaigns, handle material submission to adops. Review CPM rate card & analysis working in tandem with the Sales Manager.
Work with Sales team in developing and evolving sales strategy for the Media Business unit.
Delivers Campaign Process
Get materials from clients & work closely with them in their submission.
Liaising with local legal for legal clearance (and if needed regional legal clearance).
Ensure materials adhere to specifications and liaises with Ad Ops Manager & reps regarding final approval for the creative.
Final check on the test message & work with the Delivers in-charge.
Sales Production
Act as the primary liaison between production, sales, BD, account management, client ops, GUI and finance & international program team.
The ultimate "go-to" person for all BU-related revenue questions or decisions that could impact property revenues on a broader and more tactical level.
Creating and maintaining ad specs program & documents for clients & reseller communication of changes for fusion site.
Create sales programs for events such as cricket series, festivals and other event based activity.
Liaises with research for quarterly updates of sales programs amendments for the rate card building creative when needed.
Managing and liaising with 3rd party vendors
Develop relationships with International counterparts
Marketing Solutions
Creating and maintaining our Yahoo! India Solutions Site up-to-date and with detailed specifications of Yahoo! ad units.
Create sales programs for Verticals
Work on market research that will enable developing a better sales program and products from Yahoo! India
Be contact point for India to keep the GlobalXpress site updated with information relating to Yahoo! India solutions, case studies, latest ratecards and research.
Handle In-house inventory for marketing internal products on Yahoo! India and Yahoo.com (creative development, inventory allocation, execution and reporting) incl. work with IMSD. For this the internal customers will be all Business Units of Y! India


Mandatory requirements:

Post Graduate: MBA from top institute or MICA graduate
4+ years experience : All years preferably from the internet industry
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand market place changes, strategic implications and business implications for Yahoo! India
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to test, measure, refine and report on the impact of marketing programs
Experience in managing external vendors/suppliers/partners
Strong interpersonal skills required, as well as tolerance/desire for working in fluid, matrix environments
Experience interacting with all levels and departments within a company ? to include working with field offices, domestic and international.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Producer and Associate Producer Positions

Location: Mumbai, India

Responsible for the content, look and "feel" of Yahoo! properties. Part project manager, part marketer, part creative strategist and total on-line visionary, a producer is at the very heart of what we do--delivering branded media properties to the most sought after audiences on the Internet. And since great content attracts great advertising, producers build our brand while boosting our revenues. Producers strive to identify good compelling content that will attract and retain Yahoo! users. The role of the Producer is to project manage the development of Yahoo?s vertical content products (e.g. Sports, News, etc.). Each Producer is responsible for 2-3 content areas (channels), including the product development and on-going maintenance activities within them. The Producer coordinates business partner relationships to drive the content for single or multiple channels. To achieve this, the Producer must have vision to identify good content and understand the technology that will deliver the content. This may involve managing the development and integration of a co-branded product developed by a third party, or it may involve procuring content feeds by working with an internal product development team from GUI designers, business development, editors and engineering to design and develop in house.

Associate Producer

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with a senior level producer to learn and master the basics of how to build products.
Act as the front line person for questions; creating schedules documentation and other tools to communicate the project/product requirements.
Will undertake and implement basic changes to existing service


Accountability:
Responsible for lower level, less complex projects/products. May be assigned to work on multiple channels.


Leadership:
Provided with close direction and guidance from a senior level producer.


Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
1-2 years of Internet experience, strong interest in and knowledge of specific category, excellent writing skills or editorial background, as well as project management experience. Demonstrated proficiency in HTML, Photoshop, Word and Excel. Experience working closely with engineers and as part of a team preferred. Experience with consumer marketing and competitive analysis is expected. Previous work in a web development environment and/or consumer software product management is preferable.
Should be able to work within a cross-functional team environment and have previous project management experience with good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. High energy and a good sense of humor is required.
College graduate preferably with a degree in computer science, marketing or related areas (or have equivalent experience).


Producer

Key Responsibilities:
Great understanding and ability to clearly articulate the vision for the assigned products. Requires proven understanding of who to get involved to get things done. Understanding of how the products interact and can anticipate how one may affect another. Builds competitive analysis and defines the feature set and content used for the product. Provides design team with a draft of the product and the flow of the service (product plan). Develops the revenue model for the product.
Possesses a strong grasp of deal elements. Implements new channels for a pre-selected partners and new content in that realm.
Responsible for educating senior management, PR, marketing, customer service, and sales on the product/service.


Accountability:
Responsible for key projects adding to the cross-functional experience in more than one area.


Leadership:
Provided with direction and guidance from a senior producer.
