Summary Description:
Responsible for supporting security features (TDGSS and Gateway) within the Teradata DBS software on all supported platforms. Primary responsible will be performing feature testing for the engineering team including understanding the feature specifications early in the development cycle to create test specifications, test cases and test plan members under the guidance of the feature test team lead. Additional responsibility may include isolating and resolve problems related to the security features in authentication/authorization and network traffic encryption in general. Candidate will be expected to work closely with team leader, project manager, team members.

Key Competencies/Skills:
Strong programming skills with C.
Software debugging experience in Unix and Windows O/S, Linux experience a plus.
Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
Attention to detail
Ability to follow documented specifications and plans with some supervision
Good verbal and written communication skills
Works well in a team environment

The following skills are desirable but not required:

SQL
Teradata database knowledge
Clearcase version control
Java, Perl

Education and Experience Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related field with 2+ year programming and/or software testing experience.
Experience and good understanding of design and implementation of Windows and Unix applications.
Strong C programming skills is required, and a knowledge of Java, Perl a plus.
Experience in architectural design and implementation of client/server applications and network protocols (such as TCP/IP) desirable.
Ability to understand product features and functionalities from design documents and analyzing code modules, execute testing according to test plan and document results with some supervision.
Experience working in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
Experience working in HP/UX and AIX client environments a plus.
Experience in GSS (Generic Security Services) a plus.
Experience with LDAP and directory services concepts and integration a plus
Experience working with Relational Databases (RDBMS) and SQL a plus.

“IMPLEMENTATION OF WIRELESS SURVEILLANCE /EMERGENCY RESCUE MONITORING SYSTEM”

This project can be implemented as security system. That can applied defense, atomic plant it can control camera from remote place through RF, fully pc operated camera which can operate any movement. It deals with camera control using stepper motor and using RF technology, RF (radio frequency) is a wireless transmission system can be read from several meters away and beyond the line of sight of the reader and it is an automatic identification method on storing and remotely retrieving data using device. Very much useful in defense, and applicable in atomic plant where person can’t enter-in and to monitor the remote operation and control wirelessly.
