Summary Description :
Responsible for feature test development of enhancements to the Teradata RDBMS product. Participate in test design, development and execution and bug fixes of major software components according to a standard development process, with emphasis on testability and quality. Testing activities include test-suite maintenance/enhancements, feature/regression testing, execution of coverity/code coverage etc. Gain deep skills in the existing product by way of reverse engineering the code and developing a sound knowledge for complex test area design and feature development of the enhancements. Projects will consist of multiple team members and the candidate will be expected to work closely with team leader, project manager, team members as well as other supporting groups.

Competencies and Skill set requirements :
Required
** Good experience in programming with C.
** Excellent SQL programming. Good skill levels with shell and perl scripting.
** Sound RDBMS knowledge and working experience with some database software
** Good verbal and written communication skills.
** Ability to follow documented specifications, procedures and plans with minimal supervision.
** Works well in a team environment.
** Experience should include good software testing skills including unit testing, feature and integration testing. Ability to understand software design and feature specifications and develop test specifications and test cases.

Desired
** Experience with or knowledge on database internals or testing in database software.
** Clearcase version control
** Teradata database knowledge

Education Requirements :

** B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology

Experience
** Minimum experience of at least 1.5 to 2 years in test development, testing and bug fixing and implementation activity in software development projects.
