Summary Of Skills & Experience (starting from present one) :
At present, since June, 2009, I am in VFPPL as CEO reporting to Managing Director. The production capacity of the plant is 750 MT/M with a yearly sales figure around 200Cr. The plant consists of four 8 colors printing line, two solvent free lamination, two solvent based lamination, three nos. multilayer blown film line, one metalizer, one flexo printing, slitting, pouching, rewinding, doctoring , BOPP tape, lines. We are producing our own inks and have Woven Sack Plant. The total manpower of the plant is 550. We are going to expand our capacity by 33% within next 2 months.
Since January, 2008 to May, 2009, I was with M/s Ghosh Polymers Pvt, Ltd., with a group turn over 50 Cr. As Chief- Operation, reporting to the Managing Director. Within a span of one year I am in a position to start the unit and achieve 50% production of rated capacity. We are in a position to supply almost all the established units like Bisk Farm, Anmol, Vishal, Haldiram, Safed, Keventer Agro, Spencers, Duncan etc. in Kolkata and expecting Britania, Uniliver, ITC, Fritolay etc soon. I was also responsible Export oriented leather gloves unit for the same group. The total man power of the group is more than 600.
February 2005 to December 2007 I was with M/s Dharmpal Satyapal Limited (group turn over : 1000 cr.) as Unit Head, reporting to the Director. I was the overall in charge of the project including civil activities as well as production with all imported state of the art machines like Rotomec-Printing, Nordmeccanica-Lamination, and Titan & Schivi-Slitters. The government related activities and HR & administration are directly under my control. Total strength of the plant will be around 350 and the project cost was 110 cr. Within a span of 3 years starting from the project feasibility stage I am in a position to achieve 70% of the targeted production.
I was with M/s VFPPL – Hyderabad (turn over 60 cr.) as General Manager-Operation, reporting to MD from July 2002 to January 2005. Total business activity was under me, starting from preplanning, marketing, purchase, administration, production, QC and all other related areas. Within a span of two and half years we raised the turnover from 20 cr. to 60 cr. within same facility. At the time of my departure they were ranking no 2 in AP.
Since October 2001 to July 2002, I was in M/s Polycord Limited- Bangladesh as Profit Center Head reporting to the Chairman to start up new business with all multinationals like LBBL, Nestle, and Square as well as local one like Kaya, Britannia, etc. Within a year time the company was established as no. 1 supplier for LBBL, Nestle, Kaya and profit was increased from 1 to 6 cr per annum. In that time Company was invested around 10 cr. for expansion.
From May, 2000 to September, 2001 I was with M/s Creative Poly Pack P Ltd.-Kolkata reporting to MD as Technical Manager all 4 units and within four months I was promoted to Factory Manager. In my time CPPL was established as no. 1 supplier for HLL. We worked together with HLL to develop all new jobs..
Joined M/s Hindalco Industries Limited- Silvassa, as Superintendent- Production, Technical & Customer Service in October 1995 to April 2000, reporting to Vice Precedent. I was their responsible for recruitment, installation & start of conversion production from installation stage. At the initial stage site Civil related work was under me.
In India Foils Limited- Kolkata, I joined in March 1990 as Management Trainee and promoted to Assistant Manager- Technical, reporting to GM-Works where I was responsible QC and development for the flexible unit Taratala. At that time we developed 1st time in India Shampoo and Contraceptive wrap. Special type of Cable wrap poly was one of my inventions. Knowledge on Foil is my special advantage. Left IFL in Sept. 95.
I started my carrier with M/s Everest Printing Limited- Kolkata, as Technical Executive in July 1988 to Feb.,1990 reporting to the Director, where we started Multi layer blowing 1st time in Eastern India. I prepared the feasibility report of this project in my final year B. Tech project.
