DESCRIPTION :
Due to a growing number of intrusions and since the internet and local networks have become so ubiquitous, organizations increasingly implementing various systems that monitor IT security breaches. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) have recently gained a considerable amount of interest amongst the community by providing secure environments which are already protected through firewalls, DMZ etc. They are sure to leave an iron-clad impact and help in the days to come. Here we develop a variant of IDS i.e. a NIDS (Network Intrusion Detection System) with a GUI based configuration which guards the network from intruders.
