At present, I have been working as a PDMS designer since May 2008 for ‘CITEC ENGINEERING INDIA PVT. LTD.’ (a Finland based Organisation, specialist in Power Plant Consultation) in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. I have been working on PDMS 11.5 Tool for Civil / Structural Designing (modeling & draft) for more than two years.

vi) May 1993 to September 1994 (Grass Root Petrochemical Project)

Worked as group leader for U.P Petrochemical Corporation (UPPC) job of M/s GAIL. The units handled were Gas Cracker, C2/C3 Recovery, Gas Sweetening Unit and Utilities and Offsites. The complex had various Distribution Control Systems (DCS’s) unit wise with Interconnectivity and monitoring at a central location. M/s Stone & Webster were the process licensors for the Gas Cracker.
vii) February 1991 to May 1993: (Oil Company at Abu Dhabi)
Sent on assignment to ADCO (Abu Dhabi Co for Onshore Oil Operations), Abu Dhabi. Worked in technical services department of Central Engineering Division of the company. Job involved basic and detailed engineering of medium sized expansion projects being undertaken by the company for their vast oil fields. Reviewed / approved various engineering documents prepared by their consultant e.g., M/s Tebodin, France, M/s TPG, Italy, M/s EU Bank, Holland etc.,
viii) October 1988 to February 1991 (Offshore projects)
Worked in Offshore division of EIL. Job involved preparation of bid packages for process platforms for offshore fields at Ratna, NQP, Panna, Neelam, Mukta and South Bassein in Bombay High. Was involved in bid evaluation, technical discussions with bidders and furnishing inputs for final technical recommendations. Also carried out detailed engineering for well platforms.

ix) June 1987 to October 1988: (Petrochemical – Fibre Projects)
Worked on basic and detailed engineering activities of Grass Root 36 TPD Nylon-6 job of M/s Petrofils, Baroda (India) including handling of all packages for Utilities & Off sites. The project licensor were M/s Lurgi, W.G
Activities included interaction with client and licensor, comments on licensor’s documents and technical discussions with client and licensor.
x) July 1984 to June 1987: (Petrochemical – Fibre Projects)
Was involved with execution of 12,000 TPA Acrylic Fibre project of M/s Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. Baroda, from concept to commissioning. The process licensor were M/s Dupont, USA and their engineering contractor M/s Chemtex, USA.
Job involved close interaction with licensor M/s Dupont, basic engineering contractor M/s Chemtex and client M/s IPCL. Visited M/s Dupont & M/s Chemtex at latter’s offices in New York during Oct-Nov 1984 for basic engineering package review.
xi) Sept.1982 to July 1984 (General Refinery / Petrochemical Jobs)
Was involved in refinery and petrochemical jobs. Notable among them were basic and detailed engineering activities of R&D centre of EIL having lab scale units of distillation, incineration etc., and Propane De-asphalting (PDA) unit of HPCL etc.

Associated with 2 X 1350 TPD Gas based Ammonia Plant at THAL (Maharashtra) of M/s Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF)
Worked closely with M/s Haldor Topsoe of Denmark, whose team was stationed at PDIL offices at Baroda. Job involved detailed engineering, procurement of instruments, preparation of instruments layout drawings etc., The Project employed DCS for the first time in India in any fertiliser project. The system was MOD-3 of M/s Taylor.
ii) December 1978 to August 1980: M/s Projects and Development India Limited,
Sindri.
Associated with various small size fertiliser jobs handled by the company, DM water plant and cost estimation of instrumentation items for different proposals being prepared by the company.
iii) October 1977 to December 1978: M/s Fertilizer Corporation of India, Sindri
Worked in Sindri Modernisation Project of M/s FCI at Sindri, which was under commissioning at that time.
Was associated with commissioning of various compressors, particularly plant air compressor supplied by M/s Demang W.G.
iv) July 1977 to September 1977: M/s Fertilizer Corporation of India, Durgapur
Worked in plant as part of on job training. Job involved maintenance and calibration of various instruments in the Ammonia plant.
v) September 1976 to July 1977: M/s Fertilizer Corporation of India, Planning &
Development (P&D) Division, Sindri.
Worked in the Precision Instruments Laboratory of P&D, which is a certifying laboratory / agency for various instruments. Manufacturers get their instruments certified from the lab particularly for their use in Fertiliser Projects. Job involved non-destructive and life cycle testing of various instruments
vi) January 1976 to September 1976: M/s Fertiliser Corporation of India, Barauni
Worked in Ammonia, Urea & Steam Generation plants at Barauni site, which was under erection at that time, as part of basic training, Job involved study & understanding of various field and control room instruments, interlock checking, calibration of instruments etc.,
