Job Description :
Designation- Officer, Export and Yard Operations - Container Freight Station -Nhava Sheva.
Job Purpose :
- To monitor and ensure smooth CFS operations in exports, imports or yard/gate wherever the candidate is placed with a view to providing quality services to the customer.
- Develop skillset in all spheres of CFS operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility :
EXPORTS :
- Prepare daily MIS reports on export operations and submit to the Reporting Manager.
- Monitor and verify status of payments for carting from CHA/Forwarders before acceptance of cargo.
- Attend to and resolve routine queries from Shippers and customers
- Monitor competence and performance of day-to-day operational activities by contract employees.
- Ensure error free system updation.
IMPORTS :
- To accept container movement request from importers and Custom House Agents / Shipping Lines.
- To assess and collect CFS charges from importers.
- To liaise with importers, CHAs and ensure quality service.
- To be conversant with Customs procedures and ensure compliance.
- To ensure 100% data quality in updation of relevant systems i.e. CFS System, RKEM.
YARD/GATEIN/GATEOUT/MOVEMENT :
- Make utmost efforts for loading/offloading of containers, grounding of import containers etc., within time limits set for these operations.
- On a daily basis to ensure 100% data quality in updation of relevant systems i.e. CFS System, RKEM, with respect to containers received, delivered and moved to and from the Port and off-dock storage yard.
- Comply with all and any instructions prescribed by Customs and Port authorities in terms of movement, storage of containers.
- Eliminate instances of damage to containers during yard handling, storage or transportation.
- Movement of import, export-full containers as per set standards
Decision Making Authority/Approval/Authorization Level :
Decisions pertaining to the above within the laid down systems /procedures.
Challenge of the job/problem solving :
- Ensuring quality, error free service to the customers.
- Correct and timely updation of Systems
