ork profile Working as Research associate since April 2008 till date with Cadila healthcare group. During last 4 year of my career in the field of research, I got opportunity to work on various therapeutic proteins as well as Monoclonal antibodies derived from E. coli (Bacteria), CHO cells derived proteins, and currently working on purification of Monoclonal antibodies.
My key role in the project is to separate the desired active molecule from the crude mixture with high degree of purity and recovery. The process of separation primarily involves cell separation by either by centrifugation or filtration or a combination of both the techniques. The critical separation of the biologically active molecule involves various column chromatography techniques with resins having specific property either charge, affinity, hydrophobicity or based on size of the biomolecule.
I am also actively involved in characterization of the purified protein / anti-bodies used for the treatment of cancer, by various biological tools i.e SDS gel, peptide mapping, analysis of charged variants by IEF, purity analysis by HP-SEC, estimation of protein by different method. Some of the biomolecule I worked with are as below –
