JD For Materials Engineer

Materials Engineer to be based in Abu-Dhabi or Hyderabad with experience in material selection and properties, certification requirements, engineering critical assessments, material weldability, heat treatments, inspection and test requirements, defect investigation and assessments and failure investigation. .

Projects range from conceptual studies through front end engineering design to detailed design and procurement, covering a wide geographical spread and including pipelines and onshore process plants.

Candidates should be minimum degree qualified in Materials Engineering or recognized equivalent and 10 year+ experience of some/all of following gained in oil & gas and petrochemicals industry:

Metallurgy and materials selection (Steel, CRA, non-ferrous, polymers), Welding and NDE (Review/preparation of specs/procedures, WPQ verification, defect acceptance criteria.), Coatings (corrosion coatings, wet & dry insulation, field joints), Corrosion (corrosion prediction, corrosion management, CP design. Draft/review of corrosion management philosophies, system design, specifications.)
