Job Description
TechnoGiant Solutions is looking for Senior SQL DBA’s having atleast 4 yrs of administration experience with SQL Server for our US clients.
Candidates with the matching skills are encouraged to submit their resumes.

Provide leadership in designing long-term database architectures
and testing environments.
Develop robust database security standards and guidelines and
ensure adherence by development teams and all operational staff as
well as end-users.
Develop and implement replication, archiving and backup and
recovery strategies.
Manage and create database schemas, optimizing efficient index
maintenance, storage allocation, etc.
Maintain the data integrity of a highly complex, clustered and
replicated SQL Server environment.
Analyze data access and modification requirements to ensure
efficient SQL and optimal database design. Tune SQL as required.
Determine and recommend hardware requirements and perform storage
capacity planning for production servers for scalable database growth.
Proactively monitor the production databases and optimize stored
procedures for better performance and resource utilization.
Support the development community by providing refreshed or synced
development, staging and QA environments as needed.
Problem solving and issue resolution on production SQL stand alone
and clustered databases.
Participate in on-call rotation of production operations and other
environments.
Monitor databases for resource utilization and initiate corrective
action to ensure all database servers meet processing requirements for
performance and reliability.
Working closely with development staff, assist with the development
and deployment of DTS packages and T-SQL code.

Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements for Consideration
SQL Server editions 2005 and 2008
Experience with Replication, Log shipping, Analysis Services, SSIS and Reporting Services.
Candidate must have experience with ODS/MDR/Cubes
The contractor will also assist with the scale out of ODS/MDR/Cubes
Ability to support new servers for existing infrastructure replacement and platform documentation.
