    Description : Analyse the evaporator blower under static and dynamic condition and find the cause of failure.failure is occurring in evaporator blower either due to rotating unbalance or material defect. In this project , the evaporator blower analysed for static and dynamics stresses for the proposed speed 3400 rpm. It is essential that the steady stresses are within the working stress limit and dynamic stress are within the endurance limitof the materials, this being verified using goodman diagram.
    ME PROJECT Project Name : Thermo-Mechanical analysis of circular plate with hard faced alloy
    Role Individual project
    Description : Residual stresses are the main cause for crack formations in welded plates. Because of non uniform temperature distribution in welding process, the welded component experiences a high tensile residual stress on and near the weld zone. It is well known that the welding process relies on an intense localized heat input, which tends to generate undesired tensile residual stresses and deformation in weld structures especially in the case of thin plates. This study deals with the study of Arc welding of nuclear reactor grid plates. The finite element analysis of residual stresses in Arc welding of grid plates is performed using the ANSYS software. This analysis includes a finite element model for the thermal and mechanical simulation of the welding process. It also includes moving heat source, material deposit, temperature dependant material properties, metal plasticity and elasticity, transient heat transfer and mechanical analysis.
    Achievement :
    Qualified in GATE2008 in Mechanical strean with 92.9 percentile.
