This performance-based certification is for developers interested in demonstrating advanced proficiency in the Java programming language using Java SE.

Some of the topics covered in this exam: Thread handling and synchronization, Swing (and AWT to the extent necessary to support Swing), Standard file IO (java.io, not java.nio), Java DataBase Connectivity (JDBC) and SQL, Java IDL API and CORBA.

In order to take this Boot camp, you have to be SCJP.

In order to achieve SCJD certification, you have to submit an assignment and pass an Essay type exam administered through a Prometric Testing Centre. The Boot camp includes guidance to submit a successful assignment.
