Sr.Testing Specialist (IP-Rating & Charging)
DESCRIPTION
This technical resource is part of the System Integration and Testing team who are directly responsible for testing the products and solutions produced by the development group to ensure that the quality goal and planned functionality is achieved. This involves obtaining an understanding of the customer requirements, system architecture, design implementation details of software products and new features, and developing test cases based on this understanding. This role offers a continuous learning environment where each assignment presents the opportunity to further extend the individuals knowledge, skill set and career advancement. Individuals in this role will thrive through training, tools, high quality internal infrastructure and network of personnel to ensure they have every opportunity to succeed.

REQUIREMENTS
Work as a part of System Integration and Testing team to ensure that the system meets customer/product requirements. Review the requirements and design (implementation) of the Products/Solutions and facilitate in feasibility evaluation. Define and create test strategies for the telecom products. Develop test plans and test cases for upcoming features based on functional specifications and high level design. Understand system architecture in order to effectively test the product from a system (and customer) perspective. Maintain a complete understanding of the testing infrastructure. Determine how the production infrastructure relates to the test environments and ensure that the test environment supports and simulates production infrastructure on a small scale. Design and develop plan to set up and configure test environment. Find issues early in the test cycle and report/track it through problem tracking system.

Desired Candidate Profile
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of general QA and software testing procedures and methodologies, and software development lifecycle fundamentals.

Technology/Tools:
Working knowledge of testing high availability, high throughput, real time, mission critical system.
Working knowledge of testing failover, clustering design. Experienced in load testing, stress testing and benchmark (performance) testing.
Experienced in testing mobile IP service including IP session and account management, rating and charging.
Indepth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and network topology (switch, load balancer, router) would definitely an asset. Working knowledge of shell scripting (Perl, ksh, etc) Proficient in Unix, Solaris preferred.
Detail oriented, good analytical and problem solving skills. Previous software development experienced would be a definite asset.
Excellent communication skills, detailed oriented.

Description : Radiation describes any process in which energy emitted by one body travels through a medium or through space. Some types of radiation have enough energy to ionize particles. Generally this involves an electron being knocked out of an atom’s electron shells which will give it a positive charge. Our environment consists of gamma radiation which must be detected in order to avoid effecting human life. These gamma radiations can be continuously monitored by a Geiger-Muller radiation detector which is designed for detecting even the least quantity of gamma radiation present in the environment.
