Job Description
Be part of the Product Development branch of an India Offshore team of a US-based successful company developing the state-of the art product in the area of web services governance, management and security. In this position, Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for product development and maintenance towards the requirements for different releases of the product.

* Responsible for development of his/her modules (or bug fixes assigned) in SOA products in a timely manner with acceptable quality.
* Work closely with Project manager in estimating the work for the purpose of project planning, making sure that the quality of the work done by the team is acceptable.
* Work closely with the Architect/tech lead in understanding the architecture and design of the modules to be developed, making sure the implementation is as per the architecture/design communicated, in getting the reviews of the code developed.
* Involve and lead design of the various components required for the architecture.
* Mentoring junior programmers in various activities involved in product development and maintenance.
* This individual will be stationed at SOA Hyderabad facilities.

Desired Candidate Profile
* Must have 4-6 years of extensive Java development in J2SE (JDBC, Java Threads, Networking, Security)
* Must have experience in Web application development user interface technologies (Struts, JSF and Portlets)
* Knowledge of J2EE (JMS, JNDI), XML (JAXP, DOM, SAX, XMLSchema, XPath, XSLT, UDDI, SOAP, WSDL), Java-Security technologies is required.
* Must have experience in working with Oracle and SQL Server databases. Must be able to write efficient SQL queries using JDBC.
* Must have experience of design and development of at least couple of projects involving distributed enterprise product development.
* Must have good experience in debugging distributed java applications.
* Must be fluent in using state-of-art IDEs involving Java development. Knowledge of Eclipse is a big plus.
* Must have experience in using Configuration management tools, including version management software. Knowledge of SVN is a plus.
* Previous participation in the product development life cycle is a big plus.
* Ability to mentor other developers is required.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have desire to excel, flexibility to work hard to achieve excellence.
