Technical Officer, Superintendent Recruitment :
Applications are invited for the following vacancies in the Institute:

TECHNICAL OFFICER I : 01 Post (Reserved for SC)
Pay Band and Grade Pay : Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4600
Qualification :
Essential :
(1) First or high second class Master’s degree in Physics
(2) 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute / University
Desirable : Knowledge and experience in Geomagnetism and related fields
Maximum Age : 35 Years (including relaxation for SC)

Qualification :
Essential :
(1) First or high second class Master’s degree in Geophysics
(2) 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute / University
Desirable : Knowledge and experience in Magnetotelluric / Seismology and related fields.

Qualification :
Essential :
(1) B.E./M.E. in Computer Engineering
(2) 2 years experience of working as a programmer in a reputed Research Institute / Organizsation
Desirable :
(1) Experience in managing IT infrastructure in large computing environment having HPC cluster, In- house web/email hosting etc.
(2) Hands-on programming experience in Client Server environment using NET technology as a front End tool & MS SQL RDBMS on Windows Server and MYSQL on Linux server as back end.
(3) Good practical Knowledge of SQL, Crystal Report
(4) Working knowledge of Web Technology / Web development tools, skill on ASP/VB Script.
(5) Preference would be given to candidates having prior relevant experience in Linux System administration

Qualification :

Desirable : 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/Institute/University.

SUPERINTENDENT : 2 Posts (1 Reserved for SC, 1 UR)
Pay Band and Grade Pay : Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200
Qualification :
Essential : Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 5 years experience in the lower grade or equivalent in similar capacity in administration and related work in a Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute.
Desirable : Preference will be given to graduates in Law.

ASSISTANT : 1 Post (Reserved for ST)

Qualification :
Essential : Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 3 years experience as UDC or equivalent post in a Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute.
Desirable : Preference will be given to graduates in Law.

UPPER DIVISION CLERK : 1 Post (Unreserved)
Pay Band and Grade Pay : Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
Qualification :
Essential : Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce.
Desirable :
(1) Two years experience in administration and related work in Govt/Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute.
(2) Proficiency in computer application

STENOGRAPHER (GRADE II) : 1 Post (Unreserved)
Pay Band and Grade Pay : Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
Qualification :
Essential :
(1) 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University
(2) Skill Test Norms
Dictation : 10 minutes@80 w.p.m.
Transcription : 50 minutes (Eng.) on Computer
Desirable : Proficiency in computer application/flair for liasioning work and good communication skills.
Maximum Age : 27 Years (UR)

The candidates may apply on the form downloadable at iigm.res.in together with the requisite application fee of Rs. 300/- by crossed demand draft.

The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Registrar, IIG, by paying an application fee of Rs. 300/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel, either in person between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday)
OR
it can be obtained by post by sending an application along with the application fee and a self-addressed stamped (for Rs. 10/-) envelope superscribing “Request for Application Form”.

For SC/ST (on production of valid caste certificate) & female candidates, application form will be issued free of cost. Filled in applications should reach the office of the Registrar, IIG, on or before 31.01.2018. Any application received after the due date will be summarily rejected.
