PRE Ph.D. TEST-2017-2018 :
SCHEME OF EXAMINATION AND SYLLABUS :
** The question paper will consist of multiple choice objective type questions.

** The question paper will be in the form of a test booklet containing 100 questions bearing number 1,2,3…..100. There will be two sections (Section A & B with 50 questions in each section). Section A will have questions of B.V.Sc. & A.H. standard and section B will have questions of M.V.Sc. Standard of respective discipline.

** There would be four suggested answers (A, B, C, D) to each question. The candidates are required to choose and write the correct answer at the provided space.
** The test booklet will be collected from the students at the end of the examination.
** Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
** The answer sheet of the test shall not be subject to production before any court(civil or criminal) or before the candidate or anybody else on his behalf or before any internal or external authority.
** Merit of candidates will be notified on university website.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE GUIDANCE OF THE CANDIDATES :
1. The examination will be held as per schedule given. The doors will be opened before the commencement of the examination and will be closed immediately on start of examination. No candidates shall be admitted to examination hall after 15 minutes of commencement of examination.

2. A seat marked with Roll Number will be allotted to each candidate. The candidate should ensure that he / she occupies the allotted seat only. Any candidate discovered to have occupied the seat of another candidate shall be turned out from the examination and also have to accept any other penalty imposed on him/her by the centre superintendent.

3. Candidates are required to bring their own ball point pens for answering their question papers. They are not allowed to carry any textual material, rewritten or printed, bits of papers, photocopy of admit card, envelop or any other material except the original Admit Card inside the examination hall.

Cellular/mobile phone/calculator/side rules/log table/laptop or any other electronic gadgets etc. are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. The candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items to the venue of the examination as arrangement for their safe keeping cannot be assured.

4. Candidates should carefully read the instructions and the questions given in the question paper booklet before they begin to write their answers.
5. The question paper will be set in English.
6. No second question paper booklet shall be given.
7. Soon after the question paper booklet is given to the candidate, he/she should ensure within 10 minutes of the issue of question paper booklet that it contains all the pages and no question is missing. If there is any discrepancy, he/she should point out at once to the invigilator.

8. Before attempting the answers, the candidate shall write his/her roll number, date etc. at the place provided for the purpose on the test-booklet. The candidate should choose and write the correct answer at the space provided for the purpose in the booklet itself otherwise his/her answer will not be evaluated.

9. The candidate should not write his/her name or mark any sign/mark on any place in the test booklet or answer sheet which may disclose his/her identity. Non-compliance of this rule shall be punishable as per rules for unfair means.
10. No candidates shall leave his/her seat during examination without the permission of the invigilator in charge.
11. During the course of examination, the candidate shall be under the discipline and control of the centre superintendent and shall abide by the instructions issued during the examination by the invigilators or the centre superintendent.
12. The candidate shall not leave the examination room finally until he/she has handed over his/her test booklet to the invigilator.
13. Candidate found acting in a manner, which in the opinion of the invigilator, is liable to give unfair advantage to another candidate, and shall be forthwith suspended from the examination by the centre superintendent.

14. The invigilators, the flying squad and the examination supervisory staff shall be competent to take search of any candidate to find out whether the candidate possesses any objectionable material. Refusal by the candidate to be searched would raise the presumption that he/she is in possession of objectionable material. A candidate possessing objectionable material or resisting search shall be punishable as per rules concerning unfair means

15. Candidate resorting to use of unfair means shall be turned out of the examination hall/room and the examination shall be treated as cancelled as a whole. The centre supervisory staff shall be judge to determine whether unfair means have been resorted to. He will submit the report stating full facts of the case of unfairness to the controller/coordinator of examinations for further necessary action.

16. Urinals for use of examinees shall be provided at the centre and every examinee shall be required to use one of those urinals only for this candidate shall not leave the examination room without the permission of the invigilator.
17. Smoking and other intoxicants are strictly prohibited in the examination hall/room.
18. Use of the calculators and slide rules is not permissible.
19. Candidate should note carefully that there will be no re-evaluation of the test booklet.
20. Merit of the candidates will be displayed / uploaded on University website.
