Library Consultant Recruitment :
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant(Library)

ICHR intends to engage Consultant (Library) on consolidated salary basis as under:
Consultant (Library) – 1 post
Essential qualification: Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University or Institute.
Experience: Two years professional experience in Library under Central/State Govt. or Autonomous or Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or Recognized Research or Educational Institute.
Period of engagement : 6 months (likely to be extended further)
Remuneration : Rs.30,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)

Above engagement will be purely temporary basis and can be terminated at anytime without assigning any reason thereof.

General Conditions:
1. The post applied for should be clearly indicated in the application and also superscribed on the envelope containing the application.
2. Any attempt to influence the Council in any manner would disqualify the candidate.
3. ICHR may relax any eligibility conditions in case of deserving candidates.
4. All applications received will be screened and suitable number of candidates will be short listed for test/interview. Mere fulfillment of essential educational qualifications & experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for test/interview.
5. The decision of the ICHR, in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this regard from any candidate or his/her agency.
6. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

Indian Council of Historical Research is an autonomous organization which was established under Societies Registration Act (Act XXI of 1860) in 1972. The objectives of the Indian Council of Historical Research (hereafter referred to as the 'Council') as laid down in the Memorandum of Association are as follows:

- to give a national direction to an objective and scientific writing of history and to have rational presentation and interpretation of history;

- to elicit support and recognition for historical research from all concerned and ensure the necessary dissemination and use of results."
