SRF, Lab Assistant Recruitment :
Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview during 22nd & 23rd December, 2017 for selection to the temporary positions of SRF/JRF/Young Professional II/Lab Assistant along with their original certificates of educational qualifications and passport size photo etc., at Indian Institute of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad as detailed below.

1. CRP on Hybrid Technology & Genetic Improvement of hybrid rice parental lines for enhancing of yield heterosis (Upto March 2021)
a) Senior Research Fellow( Three positions) :
Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics or any other related discipline with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree OR PG in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET qualification.
Desirable Qualifications : Research Experience in hybrid rice breeding/seed production with evidence by publications. Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- per month + HRA

b) Skilled helper/Field/lab Assistant (Two Positions):
Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. Degree (Biological sciences)
Emoluments: Rs.15,000/- per month(fixed)

2. IIRR – Core Budget
Young Professional II (Two Positions) for one year initially it may be extended.
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduates or Graduate Degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science .

3. Green Super Rice (GSR) for the Resource-Poor of Africa and Asia Phase II
Senior Research Fellow( One position) :
Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Agriculture with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree OR PG in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET qualification.
Desirable Qualifications : Experience of carrying out field extension activities involving farmers. Should have sound inter-disciplinary knowledge in Agriculture and allied subjects. Proficiency in computers. Ability to use innovative extension approaches for transfer of GSR varieties. Willingness to travel extensively especially to target regions across the country.
Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- per month + HRA

4. DBT Project “Mass Production and field release techniques of two bio -control agents through novel approaches for management of Rice Pests”. (Upto March, 2018)
Senior Research Fellow( Two positions) :
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc.(Agriculture) with specialization in Agricultural Entomology or OR PG in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET qualification with specialization in Entomology/Zoology and 2 years or more experience in Entomology/Biological control and insect rearing.
Desirable Qualifications : Work Experience in rice field experimentation and computer skills for data management.
Emoluments: Rs.28,000/- per month + HRA

5. Young Scientist Scheme – SERB (YSS)
Junior Research Fellow( (1 position) :
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Biotechnology or M.Tech (Biotechnology) OR OR PG in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET qualification with specialization (Biotechnology) Or Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification.
Desirable Qualifications : Experience in gene cloning, plant tissue culture and genetic engineering, protein purification and enzyme assays .
Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- per month + HRA

6. ICAR – CRP Biofortification
Senior Research Fellow( Two positions) : Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics /Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Sciences/or Life Sciences with specialization in Botany/Soil Science/Biochemistry with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree OR PG in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET qualification.
Desirable Qualifications : 1-2 years Research Experience in rice and working knowledge of computers.
Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- per month + HRA
Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women (age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for PH candidates available as per rules)

1. For young professionals minimum 21 years maximum 45 years
2. No Objection Certificate from the present employer is must if already working to be produced.
3. The above positions are purely temporary/contractual for one year or until end of the project whichever is earlier.
4. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project.
5. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview.
6. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
7. The decision of Director, IIRR would be final and binding in all aspects.

8. The candidates must bring their latest passport size photograph, original certificates and also attested copies of educational qualifications, age, caste, experience, publications etc., at the time of screening of applications and interview for verification. No candidate will be allowed for interview without original certificates specifically without a degree certificate/provisional degree certificate.

9. Late comers will not be allowed to attend the interview.
10. Bio data farm (as enclosed) should be filled and brought at the time of Interview.
11. No. of posts in all projects/schemes put together or in No. of posts in each project/scheme is likely to increase or decrease.
