Road Roller Driver Recruitment :
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for under mentioned post for recruitment in the Workshop Division, Andaman Public Works Department (APWD).

Name of Post : Road Roller Driver (Work Charged)
No. of Posts : 33 (Thirty three) Subject to variation dependent upon workload.
Classification : Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted) / Non-Ministerial
Pay Scale / Pay Band & Grade Pay : Level – 2 in the Pay Matrix Rs.19900/- (Pre-revised Pay PB-I ` 5200 – 20200 + GP ` 1900/-)
Whether Selection or Non-Selection Post : Selection

Age limit for direct recruitment :
18-33 years for male
18-38 years for female
(Relaxable for Govt. Servants upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Govt.)
Note :- The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt applications from candidates.

Educational & other qualification required for direct recruitment.
Essential :-
1. Secondary School Examination (Xth Std.) passed from a recognized Board/ Institution.
2. Must possess a Valid Licence for driving Road Roller
3. Must qualify in the Departmental Trade Test.
Desirable ;-
02 Years experience of driving and mechanism of Road Roller Driver.

Method of selection process and procedure for Merit :
TRADE TEST Maximum Marks – 100
1. Driving skill - 50 Marks
2. Identification of spare parts - 25 Marks
3. Rectification of Minor Repair - 25 Marks

The eligible candidates may submit their application in the prescribed format appended to this Vacancy Notice along with self attested copies of certificates of educational/ technical qualification duly supported with Employment Exchange Registration Card, proof of age and copy of Road Roller Driving Licence along with one additional Pass Port size photograph, addressed to the Executive Engineer, Workshop Division, APWD, Port Blair on or before 10/01/2018 at 4.00 PM No applications will be entertained after 10/01/2018.
