Graduate, Technician Apprentice Recruitment :
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT (PWD), Govt. of Tamil Nadu invites Online application from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering (passed during 2015/2016/or 2017 ), hailing from Tamilnadu, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.

A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
No of Training Places :
1 Civil Engineering 300
2 Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) 15
3. Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) 10
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
** A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
** A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
** Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

B. Category II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices :
No of Training Places :
1 Civil Engineering 150
2 Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) 15
3. Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) 10
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
** A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline. ?
** A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
** A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is entrusted with the task of preparation of shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR), Chennai.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
For students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal and having login details
Please note : After verification of student enrolment by BOAT (SR), a student can able to login and apply
Step 1:
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TAMILNADU” and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again.

For students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal
Step 1:
a. Go to mhrdnats.gov.in
b. Click Enroll
c. Complete the application form
d. A unique Enrolment Number for each student will be generated.
Note: Please wait for atleast one day for enrollment verification and approval. After this student can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 :
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TAMILNADU” and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again

PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING IN NATS PORTAL:
Step 1: Log on to NATS Portal using your User ID/E-mail ID and password obtained after enrollment.
Step 2: In the home page click on “Establishment Requests” Menu and Select Option “Find Establishments” from Drop down Menu
Step 3: Once you click on “Find Establishment”, below page appears with two “Search Criteria”. i.e. Options to Search by 1) Preferences and 2) Establishment Name
Step 4: Upload your resume in PDF format.
Step 5: Choose appropriate options, Preferences and click “Search” button.
Step 6: Once you click on “Search” you will get the Establishment details, select your Establishment, you wish to apply for the training. Applicants can apply up to 100 Establishments.
Step 7: Select “Apply” button given at the bottom of the page. Once you click on “Apply” button a message will appear as “Successfully applied for the training position. Based on availability, you will be contacted by the Establishment”.
Please Note: Selection of Apprentices will be purely Employer’s prerogative.

IMPORTANT DATES:
1. Online Application starting date 22.11.2017
2. Last date for enrolling in NATS portal 11.12.2017
3. Last date for applying PWD 12.12.2017
4. Declaration of Shortlisted list 15.12.2017
5. Verification of certificates for shortlisted candidates. 20.12.2017 Onwards
The Schedule of verification of certificates for shortlisted candidates shall be published on 15th December 2017 in the website boatsr-apprentice.tn.nic.in/ under Organized Events & News Section in home page.
