Contractual Engagement for the Director, Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the engagement of Director, Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati on contract basis. The Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati is a Centre of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The appointment will be purely on contract basis initially for a period of one year.The other details regarding educational qualification, experience, age, remuneration, to whom apply and last date for applying may be seen at Akademi’s website sangeetnatak.gov.in.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the engagement of Director, Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati on contract basis. The Sattriya Kendra, Guwahati is a Centre of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The appointment will be on contract basis initially for a period of one year, extendable by 3 (three) years after review of performance on yearly basis by a Selection Committee constituted by the Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi. The initial emoluments will be Rs.50,000/- per month inclusive of all the benefits.

The details of qualifications etc. required for the post are as under:
Essential Qualification:
a) Post Graduate Degree preferably in humanities / social sciences / music /dance / drama,
b) Understanding and knowledge of performing arts as performer/writer/producer,
c) Experience in formulating, planning and administering of projects /schemes dealing with performing arts especially in Sattriya,
d) Knowledge of Government Rules and Regulations
e) Minimum 5 years of working experience as Head of any reputed institution/ organization in the field of performing arts

Age limit: As on closing date of receipt of application between 40 to 50 years and relaxable by five years in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Unemployed SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid II nd Class train/bus fare by the shortest route as per rules. Incomplete or unsigned application without photograph or late applications will be summarily rejected.
