Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL), Jammu invites applications from interested professionals/ candidates for the post mentioned below on purely contractual basis for “Jammu Smart City Limited” under centrally sponsored “Smart City Mission”

Essential Qualification : Post -Graduation in Engineering / Sciences/ Business Administration/ Public Policy/ Architecture/ Economics/ Finance/ Urban Planning and related sectors from recognized institutions, with atleast 60% marks or equivalent grade point average
Age : Age of the candidate should not exceed 62 years as on last date fixed for submission of the application.

Experience :
Not less than 15 years of post-qualification experience in Managerial Capacity in a reputed organization, of which not less than 5 years in Urban / infrastructure sectors. International engagements will be considered as an added advantage.
In addition to the technical competence, equal importance will be given to strategic thinkers, with a developmental mindset, demonstrated leadership qualities and an ability to build external and internal relationship.

1. Term of Engagement: The appointment of professional will be purely on contract basis for a period of (3) three years, which may be extended after the review of performance, and desired output. However, the contract may be terminated by giving three months? notice by either side.

2. Particulars of the applicant shall be filled in as per prescribed format (Appendix "A"). Candidate is also required to submit a copy of detailed Curriculum Vitae clearly mentioning the post- qualification experience (s). However, successful candidate has to sign an agreement with the Company to abide by all terms & conditions as laid down in the advertisement.

3. The contract shall not confer any rights or claim of extension/absorption in the Company.

4. Applicants who are in employment with Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Undertakings and other Government sponsored institutions should route their application through proper channel. However, they may send advance copy of application, if they so desire.

5. Last date for receipt of Application: 12.12.2017.

6. The roles and responsibilities of CEO have been briefly mentioned in Appendix-B. In addition, the roles and responsibilities should also be in conformity with the Smart City Guidelines in general for which candidate may refer the website of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India moud.gov.in, smartcities.gov.in and in particular with Smart City proposal of Jammu Smart City Limited available on the website of J&K Housing & Urban Development Department jkhudd.gov.in .

7. The selection of the candidate will be completely on the basis of Essential Qualification, Additional qualification, Experience and Interview. The decision of the Company is final and binding. The Company reserves its rights to accept or reject any applications, without assigning reasons thereof.

8. How to apply:
Duly filled application in prescribed format along with self-attested copy of the proof of age, qualification and attested copy of experience certificates by the employer should be sent through the registered post/speed post/courier to the “Office of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, 3rd Floor, Town Hall Complex, Jammu-180001, Jammu & Kashmir, Contact no.: 0191-2542192”.

The application form made available by hand shall not be entertained. Original Qualification Certificates and Proof of previous employments have to be produced during the time of interview. Incomplete applications shall not be considered and no interim correspondence shall be entertained. Canvassing in any form shall be considered a disqualification for employment in the Company.

9. The shortlisting process and criteria has been defined as in Appendix-C.
10. The list of shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the website jkhudd.gov.in and the candidates will be intimated about the date of interview.
11. The shortlisted candidates shall be evaluated on the basis of evaluation of their applications along with the documents submitted with the applications and the Interview. The application evaluation criteria has been defined as in Appendix-D.

12. The 70% weightage shall be given to the application evaluation (Appendix-D) and 30% weightage shall be given to the Interview. The merit list shall be generated accordingly and select list containing one Candidate and waiting list containing two candidates shall be published based on merit.
