Sports Quota Recruitment :
RECRUITMENT OF SPORTS PERSON AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FROM OPEN MARKET FOR THE YEAR 2017-18

ONLINE Applications are invited from ELIGIBLE Indian Sports Person as per the detail given below for the 16 vacancies in PB -1 Rs. 5200-20200, GP- 1900 /2000 (6th CPC)/ Level 2 & 3 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC & 05 vacancies in PB -1 Rs. 5200-20200, GP -2400/2800 (6th CPC)/ Level 4 & 5 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC Group C against Sports Quota for the Year 2017-18 in Northern Railway.

Separate Application is to be filled for separate discipline/game, if eligible, with separate examination fee as applicable for each application.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
(i) Minimum Educational Qualification:
(a) Sr. Secondary (12thpass)/ITI/Equivalent in PB -1 Rs. 5200-20200 (6th CPC)/Level 2 & 3 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC.
(b) Graduate for in PB -1 Rs. 5200-20200 (6th CPC)/ Level 4 & 5 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC.
(ii) Age Limit: 18-25 years of age as on 01/01/2018.

APPLICATION/ TRIAL/ EXAMINATION FEE :
Examination fee is to be paid through ONLINE MODE and RRC will not accept Examination fee in Cash/ Cheque/ Money order/IPO/ Demand Draft Central Recruitment Fee Stamps etc. Candidate to note that RRC/NR is not responsible for incomplete or pending online examination fee transaction for whatever reason.

In such case candidate need to proceed with fresh/new transaction of payment of examination fee.

(i) For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only through Online Payment in favour of RRC/NR. The examination fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
(ii) For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only. Examination Fee will be refunded to these Categories of Candidate only when they actually appear in the Trial.
(iii) Candidate to note that incase of refund of Examination Fee it will be transferred back to the source from where it is received in RRC Account

NOTE:- ‘Minority’ means Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) & Sikhs. Economically Backward Classes will mean those candidates whose family income is less than Rs. 50,000/- per annum.

The following officials are authorized to issue income certificate for the purpose of identifying Economically Backward Classes :
(a) District Magistrate or any other Revenue Officer up to the level of Tehsildar.
(b) Sitting MP of Lok Sabha for persons of their own constituency.
(c) BPL Card or any other certificate issued by Central Government under a recognized poverty alleviation programme or Izzat MST issued by Railways.
(d) Union Minister may also recommend for any persons from anywhere in the country.
(e) Sitting MP of Rajya Sabha for persons of the District in which the MP normally resides.
The income certificate issued by the authorities mentioned above must be as per format given at Annexure-‘IV’. This will have to be issued on the letterhead of the issuing authority.

Scheme for recruitment :
The procedure for recruitment of candidate will be as under:-
(i) Screening & Scrutiny of application.
(ii) Trials of the eligible candidates shall be conducted to assess their sports performance and suitability for Railway/Unit team as well as Indian Railways team, the date for which will be intimated later on to the eligible candidates.

(iii) Recruitment committee shall take interview and award the marks (out of 60 marks) only to the FIT candidates for their sports achievements, educational qualifications, general intelligence etc. Candidates declared "NOT FIT" shall not be assessed further by the Recruitment committee.

(iv) Interviews of the candidates will be held on the same day, just after trials or at the most next day of trials.

HOW TO FILL UP THE APPLICATION : Steps to be followed for filling the ONLINE Application
Steps Details
Click on the “Sports Quota ONLINE/E-Registration/filling Application.

Information to Candidate :
** Candidate Registration – Fill the detail i.e Name, Community, Category, Mobile No., Email ID & Date of Birth and submit. On successful registration candidate will get Password for login subsequently using Email ID.
** Pay Online Fee & on successful transaction “Candidate Dashboard containing Application Form, Upload Photo/Signature/Thumb Impression and Application Details/ Print will appear”.
** Enter the examination fee payment transaction ID, verify it and fill the Application Form.
** Save Detail, Edit if required and then finally save detail.
** Candidate Dashboard appears again containing Application Form, Upload Photo/Signature/Thumb Impression and Application Details/Print.

** Now click on upload Photo link in the “Candidates Dashboard” and Photograph, Signature & Thumb Impression having size 10 to 50KB in jpg format & Save Images and upload certificates like :- caste, educational & sports etc. Now candidate can take print of application & Fee payment slip for candidate purpose record only.

Note:
Candidates to note that in case of a situation where Application Form is not filled up completelly after registration he/she can complete it subsequently by
"CANDIDATE LOGIN" using registered email id and password received through SMS after registration on registered mobile no.

Enclosures to be uploaded with the Online Application:-
Applicant must upload following documents/certificates with the online application failing which application will be rejected.
a. Proof of date of birth (10th or Matric pass certificate).
b. Proof of Essential educational i.e. 12th or Graduation as the case may be and Sport qualification prescribed for the category/post.
c. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minority/Economically Backward etc Certificate in prescribed format as per Annexure-I to Annexure–V (will be downloaded from RRC website i.e. rrcnr.org)

Candidates should have following Certificates in Hand before Applying Online Application :
1. Scan copy of Educational/Sports/OBC/SC/ST Certificate (format in "jpg" and size should be 100 to 500 KB).
2. Scan copy of Latest Photo, Signature and Thumb Impression (format in "jpg" and size should be 10 to 50 KB).
3. ONLINE PAYMENT Tool – candidate to note that incase of refund of Examination Fee it will be transferred back to the source from where it is received in RRC Account.
