Assistant Professor Recruitment :
The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has been established in May 2013 vide Delhi State Legislature Act 9 of 2012, as a Non-Affiliating Teaching and Research University in Delhi to work in emerging areas of professional education among women, with focus on engineering, technology, applied sciences, management and its allied areas with the objective to achieve excellence in these and related fields.

The University invites applications to fill up the following positions in the Discipline/Department as mentioned against each by direct/deputation/contract mode of recruitment from qualified candidates:

The applications for the following positions are to be submitted Online at recruitment.igdtuw.ac.in/faculty latest by 15th Dec. 2017 (5.00 PM). A printed copy of the duly filled in application generated online along with copies of requisite documents and a printed receipt of the application fee of Rs. 500/- must reach the at the Office of the Registrar, IGDTUW, Room No. 213, Administrative Block, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006.

General Instructions :
(1). The candidates must apply well in time before the last date of receipt of applications. IGDTUW will not be responsible for any postal delay. No column of the Application shall be left blank.

(2). No application form will be accepted or considered by the University after last date of submission of application form by the candidate and no subsequent request for any change in the application will be considered or granted. Further no application shall be considered if the print copy of the same in respect of online application form for the post of Assistant Professor is received in the University by last date.

(3). Application Fee is Non-Transferable and Non-refundable. In case a candidate is willing to apply for more than on Post/Department, separate application form is required to be submitted along with prescribed application fee for each post.

(4). Application fee is exempted for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disabilities – PWD. Application Fee is to be paid online through S.B.I. Collect, by using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking for the posts /positions of Assistant Professor applied online.

For the other posts/positions for which the application is to be submitted only in printed form, a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in favour of “Registrar, IGDTUW” from a Nationalised Bank/Scheduled Bank payable at Delhi must be attached with the application form.

(5). The age relaxation in respect of SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Disabilities(PWD)/Ex-serviceman candidates etc. and Contractual Employees of IGDTUW, if any, engaged against the respective post shall be given as per rules/orders of the Government of NCT of Delhi on the subject.

(6). The appointment of SC/ST/OBC candidate shall be on provisional basis and will be subject to verification of caste/ Tribe certificate.

NOTE
:
(i) Only OBC (Delhi) candidates will be given the benefit of reservation/age relaxation under OBC category. OBC (outside) candidates will be treated as Unreserved candidates and they must apply under Unreserved (UR) Category. The OBC candidates must be in possession of Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, along with his/her caste certificate and it should be valid with respect to the latest/current financial year.

(ii) Only following two types of certificates will be accepted as valid certificates for grant of benefit of reservation to OBCs:-
(a) OBC certificate (Delhi) issued by the Revenue Department of Govt. of NCT of Delhi, on the basis of a old certificate issued to any member of individual’s family from GNCT of Delhi.

(b) OBC certificate issued by a competent authority outside Delhi to a person belonging to a community duly notified as OBC by Govt. of NCT of Delhi. This certificate should have mandatorily been issued on the basis of OBC certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi to a family member of the concerned person who had been residing in Delhi before 08/09/1993.

(7). The Educational Qualification, experience, age and other conditions of eligibility as stipulated for the post applied for shall be determined as on the closing date of receipt of application.

(8). Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree after 2009 should enclose copy of the certificate to the effect from the awarding University that the University has awarded Ph.D. Degree as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Awards of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009.

(9). Mere acceptance of offline application form/online form on IGDTUW’s portal does not make candidate eligible for the position. Eligibility shall be checked based on the documents submitted by the candidates at a subsequent stage. The Candidature of the applicant shall be subject to verification of testimonial etc.

(10). Printed copy of the duly filled Application Form with passport size photograph, proof of payment of application fee must also be accompanied by attested copies of all Educational and Professional Qualifications, Experience Certificates, documents etc. An application without relevant documents is likely to be rejected during the course of screening.

(11). A person applying for the post of Assistant Professor may be offered a lower or higher Acad. Grade Pay (AGP) as considered appropriate by the Selection Committee. Candidate on selection for the post of Assistant Professor can be placed with AGP of Rs. 6000/7000/8000 depending upon his/her qualifications and experience.

The candidate if called for interview shall be required to submit details of his/her research performance at the time of interview for the purpose of API score.

(12). The actual number of posts may vary at the time of interview at the discretion of the University.
(13). The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any reason. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of Interview can also be filled accordingly.

(14). The University reserves the right to short list applicants/candidates on the basis of written examination or in any other manner to shortlist for final interview before the Selection Committee as may be considered appropriate and no reason for rejection shall be communicated.

(15). Fulfilment of conditions of minimum qualification shall not necessarily entitle any applicant to be called for further process of recruitment. Candidates found eligible for interview, on the basis of their duly filled applications and attached certificates and written test conducted if any shall be informed separately through website of the University. The candidates are advised to check the University website on regular basis.

(16). The persons already in employment in Govt. Department/ Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertakings / Universities under Central/State Govt. should apply through proper channel and submit ‘No objection Certificate’ along with vigilance clearance certificate from their employer at the time of interview.

(17). Canvassing/enquiry in any form will be treated a disqualification.
(18). All appointment in regular pay scales shall initially be on temporary /probation basis.
(19). No applicant having more than one wife/husband is eligible for appointment unless exempted under law.
(20). No TA/DA shall be payable to the applicant for any journey performed for attending any test/interview.
(21). Any dispute with regard to this recruitment will be subject to the Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Delhi.
