Download Admit Card :
DATE OF EXAMINATION : 3rd December, 2017

The candidates are requested to DOWNLOAD the ADMIT CARD for SET-2017 Examination through LOGIN from the website wbcsc.ac.in from 13th November, 2017 onwards.

Correction in regard to NAME, PHOTO AND SIGNATURE in the ADMITCARD will be done on 3 consecutive working days prior to the date of the examination after proper verification/scrutiny of ATTENDANCE SHEET, VALID ID PROOF OF THE CANDIDATE (i.e. VOTER ID/ AADHAR/ PASSPORT/ PAN/ DRIVING LICENSE) by the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned Test Centre.

The signature of the Officer-in-Charge along with date and official seal of the test centre is mandatory. The candidates must bring two copies of passport size photograph (identical to the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM) at the time of correction.

After completion of the Examination the candidates must submit two self attested photocopies of the corrected ADMIT CARD personally to the office of the Commission within 15th December, 2017 (12 noon – 3 pm). The decision of the officer-in-charge of the test centre is final in this regard.The test centre allotted to the candidate could not be changed under any circumstances.

Test Centres :
The Test Centres are likely to be at Kolkata, South 24 Pgs, Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Pgs, Nadia, Burdwan, Asansol, Birbhum, Purba Medinipore, Paschim Medinipore, Jhargram, Murshidabad, Bankura, Purulia, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, Siliguri, Alipurduar and Coochbehar. The Centres may be changed at the discretion of the Commission. However, the candidates are not allowed to change their option for Test Centre of their own.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION :
The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 3rd December, 2017 in three separate sessions as under:

First I 100 50 out of which 60 questions to be attempted 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)
Second II 10050 questions : all are compulsory 1¼ Hours (11.15 A.M. to 12.30 P.M.)
Third III 150 75 questions : all are compulsory 2½ Hours (2.00 P.M. to 4.30 P.M.)

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any fifty (50). In the event of the candidate attempting more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated.

Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.

Syllabus :
All questions of Paper-II and Paper-III will be compulsory, covering the entire syllabus for the subject concerned. Syllabi for all SET subjects can be downloaded from the WBCSC webportal examinationonline.in and are at par with the relevant NET syllabus. WBCSC will not send the syllabus to individual candidate.

The candidates will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper– I, Paper-II and Paper-III on the OMR sheet provided along with the Test Booklet.
