OFRC has conducted a written exam on 10-09-2017 for recruitment of Industrial Employees (Group C) in different Ordnance Factories. It has been noted with concern that there are various rumours being spread in Electronic, Print Media and on Social Networking sites by some unscrupulous elements.

You are requested to visit our website regularly for authentic information and don’t fall prey to the mischievous and baseless rumours. In this regard the following information is given:

Candidates are advised not to fall prey to any unscrupulous elements. The selection will be made purely only on merit.

The candidates having the requisite qualification as per the recruitment advertisement will only be allowed to appear in the Practical / Trade test after document verification. Any person who does not have NAC/NTC certificate, in relevant trade as per the advertisement will not be allowed to appear for Practical / Trade test.

All the Central Government recruitment rules, as applicable, shall be followed.

An OMR sheet bearing Roll No.495100749 has appeared on the Social Media. The matter is being looked into and appropriate action shall be taken as per the advertisement, including criminal action. Apparently, the picture of OMR had been taken at the end of the exam by the candidate with mischievous intent.

The OMR sheet has very few correct answers and thus does not have any potential to be misused in any other way."

Ordnance Factory Board is a bicentenary Government organization with 41 factories spread throughout India with State of Art defence production technology in diverse fields and 22 others establishments for Training, Safety, R&D, Recruitment etc.

Ordnance Factory Recruitment Centre, on behalf of all the Ordnance Factories had invited ONLINE applications from eligible citizens of India for filling up vacancies/posts of Semi-Skilled grade Industrial Employees (IEs) Group 'C' in different trades and Labour Group 'C' in various Ordnance Factories located across India from 19.06.2017 to 10.07.2017.

MODE OF SELECTION:
a) Selection process shall comprise of a 2 stage process:
** Written examination of 100 marks, objective type and OMR based
** Trade Test (Practical) at respective factory along with document verification
b) On the basis of merit list based on marks obtained in written test, candidates 1.25 times the number of vacancies shall be called for Trade Test (Practical).
c) The Trade Test (Practical) shall be only qualifying in nature,without any marks. However, those candidates who do not qualify in the Trade Test shall not be considered at all, irrespective of marks obtained in the written examination.
d) The credentials (as submitted in the application) of the candidates called for the trade test (Practical) will be verified with the original documents at the time of Trade Test at the respective factory.
e) The final merit/select list shall be based on marks obtained in the written test only, subject to document verification and qualifying the Trade Test.
f) The final merit/select list thus prepared factory wise will be published at ofb.gov.in.
