Apprentice Recruitment :
As per instructions given in Railway Board’s letter No E(MPP)/2009/06/14 dated 06.10.2015 it is proposed to make a panel of candidates for act apprentice training under Apprentice act,1961 for total 446 seats in Jhansi Division as per following details:

Age limit :
a) Candidate must have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 30-11-17.
b) The upper age limit may be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates.
c) For physically handicapped persons upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
Educational qualification :
The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks and possess essential ITI passed certificate in related trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute affiliated to NCVT. Certificate issued by principal is not accepted.
Stipend : Stipend will be paid as per instructions issued by Railway Board from time to time.
Fee : A bank draft of Rs 100/- in favour of Sr. DFM Jhansi and payable at Jhansi as an application fee may be sent as an enclosure with the application. The SC, ST, Physically handicapped and Women candidates are relaxed from application fee.
Mode of Application :
The application and call letter must be filled by candidate in his/her own hand writing in the given format on A4 sheet by ballpoint pen and sent to the following address by ordinary/registered post only:

The following must be annexed with application and call letter in the envelope- “Self addressed 02 good quality envelopes size 11*5, in which one envelope must be pasted with minimum registered postage stamp Rs 27/- . (SC/ST candidates are exempted from pasting of stamps.)
The candidate has to paste 01 passport size recent photograph on the application form and 01 on the call letter at the designated place with self-attestation. Candidate must ensure before submission of application that he/she is fulfilling qualifications and other standards prescribed.
If any candidate does not fulfill the prescribed qualification and other eligibility criteria, the administration has the right to cancel/reject such application at any stage of selection process and if the candidate has been engaged for training, his/her candidature will be cancelled without prior intimation.
It must be ensured that before sending the form, the candidate has also registered online at apprenticeship.gov.in as explained in para 1.3 and provide details thereof as asked in the application form.
The last date for receiving of the complete application form in all respects in the above mentioned address is 30-11-2017 (30th Nov 2017) by 17:45 PM through ordinary/registered post only.
Alternately, The candidates may drop his/her application form in the box placed at office of the Divisional Railway Manager, Personnel Branch, North Central Railway Jhansi U.P. in any working day between 10:00 AM to 17:45 PM up to 30-11-2017 (30th Nov 2017).
Precautions for submission of application :
a) The applicant’s name, address with pin code should be clearly mentioned on call letter.
b) Spellings of Applicant’s and father’s name should be the same as in High School Certificate.
c) Candidate’s recent passport size photograph should be pasted on call letter and another on the application form on the appropriate place.
d) Call letter has to be sent with application form.
e) Bank Draft as instructed in Para 6 and if required must be attached as an enclosure.
f) Incomplete/overwriting/erased applications forms will not be accepted.
g) Application without self- attested copies of SC/ST/OBC/Handicapped Certificate and Educational/Technical qualification certificates, as mentioned in the form, will not be accepted.
h) The candidates who have passed ITI from S.C.V.T. are not eligible to apply and no correspondence will be considered from any person of organization in such type of application and no reply will be given.
i) No application will be accepted after last date. Office of the Divisional Rail manager, Jhansi will not be responsible for late or wrong delivery by postal department at any stage. Please write on the top of envelop “Application for Act Apprentice - Jhansi Division 2017-18”
Before applying online applicant should ensure himself that he is fulfilling desired qualification and other terms and conditions. Administration has the right to cancel the application at any stage of recruitment, if candidate not full filling the requisite qualification and if recruited, the candidature of such candidate will be terminated without any information.
Such candidate those do not qualified ITI through NCVT are not eligible for applying and in regards to such application any correspondence made by any person will not be considered.
Selection process :
i) The selection of Act Apprentice for training will be done on the basis of merit list prepared from the candidates who have applied & eligible in reference to the notification. There will be no written exam or interview/or exam in this selection.
ii) Merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of total mark obtained in 10th or equivalent examination as well as average marks obtained in ITI by a candidate from recognized educational board/institute.
iii) The calculation of percentage of marks will be based on the total marks obtained in 10th or its equivalent examination from an educational Board/Institute and not on the basis of mark of any subject or a group of subject.
iv) If more than one candidate gets equal marks/percentage in 10th examination and average mark in ITI or its equivalent examination, than the elder candidates whose date of birth is earlier will be higher in rank than the other whose date of birth comes later. The above information will be computerized and merit will be prepared like this.
v) Select list will be prepared Trade/Community/Category (reservation Category) wise out of final select list of combined merit.
vi) The candidate equal to 1.5 times of the number of slots for Act Apprentices shall be called for verification of original testimonials and their physical fitness A final merits list of relevant trade will be prepared equal to the no. of slots in the descending order of average percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in matriculation.
vii) The candidates will be declared fit for training after being given the medical fitness certificate on successful medical examination by Authorized Railway Medical officer. If the candidates fail in medical examination, His/he candidature will be cancelled and his/her any claim for training will not be accepted.
viii) No Daily allowance or Travelling allowance will be admissible to candidates came for verification of documents.
ix) Hostel/Residential facility will not be provided to selected candidates and as per apprentice act 1961 the selected candidates have to arrange themselves boarding and lodging arrangements during course of training period.
