Download Admit Card :
To download Admit Card for the post of Upvaid - Advt. No. 3/2015

Applicants can download their admit cards for Written Test for the post of Upvaid by clicking the Download Roll No. link.

Applicants must find their Application Number and Date of Birth in order to download the admit card.

Instructions for downloading Admit Cards :
1. Fill your Application Number and Date of Birth.
2. Click on the download link to download your admit card.

Test Structure for the Written Test:
a) The written test of 90 marks from the prescribed syllabus will be conducted on the OMR sheet.
b) There will be 90 multiple choice questions from the prescribed syllabus to be attempted in 1½ hours.
c) The question paper will be in English, Hindi and Punjabi language.
d) In case any discrepancy or controversy arises out of translation of any question in Punjabi and English, the question printed in English shall be deemed right. Candidate is advised to respond as per English version in such a situation.
f) For each correct answer the candidate will be awarded one mark and ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
e) The qualifying marks in the written test will be 33% with negative marking.

CONDUCTING OF INTERVIEWS / EXAMINATIONS / DECLERATION OF RESULTS:
The selection to the posts shall be made by the board in the manner prescribed in the relevant service rules. In other words, if in the relevant rules, any competitive examination is provided that shall be held by the Board. Any particular exercise about physical measurements as in the case of the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police shall also be got conducted by the Board.

Where, however, any specific mode of selection is not provided in the relevant service rules, the Board shall determine a fair method to make selection in consultation with the Department concerned. The posts which are to be filled through interview only, the interview may be completed within 30 days from the date of completion of the scrutiny of applications and result declared simultaneously.

The posts of stenographers / typists which are to be filled by the tests, the test be arranged within a month from the date of the completion of the scrutiny of applications and the results declared within 30 days of taking the test. The posts which are to be filled by qualifying / competitive examination, such a test / examination be arranged within 45 days from the date of the completion of the scrutiny of applications.

Paper marking in respect of these tests should be completed within thirty days from the closing date of the test / examination and the result declared within the next 30 days. In cases, where selection is to be made by way of test / examination and interview, all process should be completed as enumerated above excepting that the result be declared within 90 days from the closing date of test / examination.

Article 320 of the Constitution of India, although, provides that it shall be within the jurisdiction of the State Public Service Commission to make recruitment to Civil Services and for civil posts, yet the provision there under empowers the State Government to make regulations specifying the matters in which either generally, or in any particular class of case or any particular circumstances, it shall not be necessary for the Public Service Commission to be consulted.
