Translator Recruitment :
Online applications in the prescribed format are invited from applicants who are qualified as on the last date fixed for submission of applications for recruitment to 10 Posts of Translators on the establishment of the High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru.

Eligibility for Appointment:-
Appointment shall be by direct recruitment after calling for applications from candidates who have passed Master Degree in English at least in second class with Kannada as one of the languages in Bachelor degree. The candidates must have passed in such Bachelor Degree (with kannada as one of the languages) at least in second class.

Note: Degree/Master Degree must have been obtained through regular course and not through correspondence course.
(a) Written Test:- The Candidates whose applications are in order shall be called for written test.
(b) Viva-voce:- Out of the candidates who are successful in the written test, such candidates in the ratio of 1:10 in the order of merit in each category shall be called for viva-voce.

Scale of Pay: Rs.21600 – 600 – 24600- 700 – 28800 – 800 – 33600 – 900 – 39000 – 1050 – 40050.
Probation: The candidate if appointed shall be initially on probation for a period of two years or for extended period if necessary.

Age limit: As on the last date of submission of application, the age limit is, minimum of 18 years for all categories and the maximum age limit is as under:-
(a) 40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Category-I of other Backward Classes.
(b) 38 years in the case of a person belonging to Category II-A or II-B or III-A or III–B of other Backward Classes; and
(c) 35 years for others.

Method of Application and fee:
The method of Application shall be through online on the website karnatakajudicary.kar.nic.in/recruitment.asp to be applied as per the instructions made available in the Annexure on the website. Applications sent by any other mode other than online will not be considered.

(a) Candidates belonging to GM, II-A, II-B, III-A and III-B or other Backward Classes, shall remit an amount of Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred Only). But, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/Category-I and Physically Handicapped, the fee payable shall be Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and fifty only).

(i) Online Payment: On submission of online application, the candidates shall make the online payment of application fee by SBI online payment gateway mentioned in the online application.
Or
(ii) Challan Form: On submission of online application, the candidates shall download the challan through the SBI online payment gateway link mentioned in the online application in PDF format and shall remit the prescribed fee in any branch of SBI. (System need to support PDF reader-like Adobe, Acrobat)

(b) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Last date for submission of application:-
(i) To register / submit online application: 15.11.2017 (11:59 P.M.)
(ii) For payment of fee through Online/Challan :19.11.2017

General Instructions to the Applicant
:
1. Applicants shall read all the instructions carefully before submitting the applications, so as to avoid the mistakes.

2. Candidate must specifically indicate the Residual Parent Cadre/ Local cadre of reservation in the column earmarked in the application under which candidate would like to be considered. Further candidate is not permitted to change the Residual Parent Cadre/ Local cadre claimed in the application. (Local Cadre means Reservation to the candidates belonging to Hyderabad Karnataka Region)

3. The applicants shall provide the Mobile number and valid E-mail Id (Compulsory), for communication, at relevant columns while submitting online application. The authority is not responsible for non receipt of SMS or E-mail.
4. To avoid last minute rush, the applicants are advised to submit the online applications well in advance. The website will accept the applications round the clock upto 15.11.2017 till 11.59 p.m.
5. The decision of the High Court of Karnataka will be final, as to the eligibility for Written Test & Viva-voce or otherwise of an applicant.

6. Intimation will be sent to the eligible candidates through a SMS message to Cell phone and also an email will be sent to Email-Id, if provided. The list of short listed applicants will also be notified on the High Court of Karnataka website karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in/ recruitment.asp for downloading the “Call- Letter”. Applicant must bring his/her ‘Call-Letter‘, at the time of appearing for the Tests / Viva Voce.

7. The Applicants shall have to appear for the Written Test and Viva-Voce if called for, at their own expenses at the place and time decided and notified by the High Court of Karnataka.

8. The Applicants shall produce the copy of “Call Letter” and “Identity Proof” (Voter ID or Aadhaar Card or PAN Card or Driving License or Ration card or Passport in Original can be produced as a proof of identity) while appearing for the Written Test / Viva Voce for verification.

9. The applicants shall produce all the original testimonials with a set of self attested photo copies i.e., Mark Cards of SSLC/X Std., Graduation, Post Graduation, Caste Certificates, Certificates for claiming any reservations, 2 Passport size photographs and also Three Character certificates (one from last studied education institution and two from the respectable persons) while appearing for the Written Test & Viva-voce for scrutiny.

10. On the basis of marks obtained in Written Test, candidates will be short listed for Viva voce.
