Lab Technician Recruitment :
Recruitment for the posts of 6 Lab Technicians (LTs) at 3 Government Blood Banks under NHM scheme through District Selection Committee (DSC) on contract basis for the period of one year from the date of appointment with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 10,350/- per month by following rule of reservation i.e OC (W) - 1, SC (W) - 1, OC - 1, BC (A) (W) - 1, OC - 1, OC-PH-(W) -1
2. The interested candidates may apply for the above post on or before 25.10.2017 by 4.00 pm to the Convener DSC & Addl. District Medical and Health Officer (A&L), Old GGH, Hanumanpet, Vijayawada, Krishna District by downloading the Terms of Reference (TOR) (for details of qualifications), application from the website krishna.ap.nic.in. Candidates are suggested to read TOR completely.
3. The candidate should submit his/her application form (Annexure - II) duly filled in given format in the web site along with xerox copies of Educational, Technical qualification certificates, Study certificate from IV to X (Local candidates - Krishna District will be given priority), Cast certificate, Experience certificates and Additional qualification certificates attested by a gazetted officer.
Latest pass port size photo attested by a gazetted officer should be pasted in the application form at given space.
4. Mode of Selection:
1) Marks Obtained in qualifying exam - 90%
2) Blood Bank Work experience -1% per year with maximum of 10%
5. Note:
1) In case of failure to submit any one of the copies of certificates as mentioned above the application will be summarily rejected.
2) In case, caste certificate not submitted by the candidate the application will be treated as OC.
3) Short listed candidates will be intimated to attend to the certificate verification
4) Canvasing in any manner will be rejected the application.
5) Work place allotment of selected candidates will be done by District Selection Committee.

Salary : Rs. 10,350/- PM for LT
Qualification : Degree in MLT with 2 year experience in the testing of blood and its components.
TOR :
Working at the blood bank, blood collection, processing, storing in optimum conditions, cross matching. Issuing blood units to the patients. Blood banks being an emergency services working hours may be 8-10 hours of duty.
Blood bank technicians, also called phlebotomy technicians, work in lab under the guidance of a medical officer, label and prepare blood, plasma and other components for transfusions.
Properly store bloods draws and maintain documentation and records. Technicians work with patients, making them comfortable during the procedure and monitoring vital signs. Technicians also need to be thoroughly versed in D & C(I) regulations.
a) To receive blood samples for grouping and cross matching along with requisition forms, wards, PT/Labour room and others.
b) To perform emergency duty on rotational basis.
c) To perform grouping of all donors (Voluntary), bleeding of donors, labelling, documenting, storing and issuing blood.
d) Grouping and cross matching of all blood samples for routline and emergency demand from ward/operation theatre etc and issuing matched blood as and when required.
e) Doing RH factor and comb’s test wherever required and to maintain the record in the register.
f) To issue infusion sets toall the depts. of hospital as demand.
g) To supervise laboratory attendant in performing his duties. Any other work as may be specified by the head.
