Project Biologist Recruitment :
Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Biologist for Project entitled “Fishes of Sahayadri Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra” on Nov. 6, 2017

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Biologist for Project entitled “Fishes of Sahayadri Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra” purely on contractual basis for a period of one year. The EQ, DQ and other details of the Project Biologist is as provided below:

Engagement Positions : Project Biologist (one position)
Duration : One year
Location of the Project : Sahayadri Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology / Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences with 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Aquatic Ecology, River Ecology, Aquatic habitat assessment, Fish Biology and Fish Taxonomy
Description of work : The project aims to document fish diversity and assess status and distribution of fishes within Sahayadri Tiger Reserve
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/pm (consolidated)
Age : Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview.
Age relaxation: upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST/OBC, as per Govt. of India rules.
Funding Agency : Maharashtra State Forests Department

General Conditions :
1. The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 6th November 2017 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.
2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications research experience, along with certificate of extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
