Departmental Examinations :
Applications are invited from candidates through “ONLINE” only for admission to the Departmental Examinations to be held in DECEMBER 2017

Fee : Registration Fee Rs. 30/- along with postal charge of Rs.12/- to be included to the total amount of examination fee.

General Information :
1.The Departmental Examinations from December 2017 will be held as per the Revised Syllabus / Scheme / Pattern / type of examination ordered by the Government in G.O.(Ms.)No.33, P&AR(M) Dept., dated 02.03.2017 in supersession of orders already issued in G.O.(Ms).No.21, P&AR(M) Dept., dated 10.01.1990 and G.O.(Ms)No.210, P&AR(M) Dept., dated 14.08.1997.

2.The Application should be registered only through the Commission’s website tnpsc.gov.in.

3.The candidates should note that Registration fee of Rs.30/- along with postal charge of Rs.12/- also will have to be included to the total amount of examination fee of Rs.200/- prescribed for each test applied for and should be paid through postal receipt only, except the candidates opting New Delhi centre.

4. Instructions and Guidelines to candidates applying for Departmental Examinations, Revised Syllabus / Scheme / Pattern / Type of Examination, Name of the Test / Test Code / Fees structure, List of Post Office, Time Table of Departmental Examinations – December 2017 and Instructions to candidates appearing for Departmental Examinations are listed in Annexure I, II, III, IV, V and VI which may be seen as detailed below in the Commission’s Website.

5. Days and Dates of Written Examinations:- The Forenoon session will commence from 9.30 a.m. and the Afternoon session will commence from 2.30 p.m.
6. Hall ticket can be downloaded from the Commission’s website from 17.12.2017 to 31.12.2017 by presenting the unique online Application Number and date of birth.
7. The results can be accessed through the Commission’s website tnpsc.gov.in.

A detailed list containing the Register Numbers, Name and address of the successful candidates will be published in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Bulletin, dated 7th March 2018 and 16th March 2018.

The copies of the TNPSC Bulletin can be obtained from the Director of Stationery and Printing, Publication Depot, Anna Salai, Chennai - 600 002 on payment, and the same will be exhibited in the Collectorates, Taluk offices and District Central Libraries. The copies of TNPSC Bulletin will not be supplied from the Commission’s Office.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR DEPARTMENTAL EXAMINATIONS :
1. Candidates should sit for the examination only at the centre mentioned in the Memorandum. Candidates appearing at a centre other than the one mentioned in the Memorandum should produce an order from the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission in which change of centre has been permitted.

2. No candidates whose name is not in the Attendance Sheet will be admitted into the examination hall.
3. Candidates should bring with them to the examination hall on each day of the examination the Memorandum of admission issued to them for inspection by the Invigilator and if they fail to do so they will not be allowed to write the examination.
4. Smoking is prohibited in the examination hall.
5. No candidates suffering from any contagious disease will be admitted into the examination hall.
6. Candidate should take their places in the examination hall 30 minutes before the time of commencement of Examination. Candidates presenting themselves more than half an hour after the commencement of the examination will not be admitted into the Examination hall.

7. (i) The candidates are required to attend both objective and descriptive type of Departmental Examinations compulsorily in respect of Test Code numbers from 049 to 075 and 101 to 172 (except Test Code 112 & 135) .

(ii) The candidates are required to obtain minimum pass marks in both type (objective & descriptive) for considering them as passed in the Departmental Tests where combination of a objective and descriptive type of examinations is prescribed in respect of the Departmental Test.

8. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall till the closure of the examination.
9. Strict silence should be maintained in the examination hall.
10. Candidates are required to provide themselves with their own pens, ink, blotting paper and instrument boxes.
11. The candidates are permitted to use calculators at the examination hall while writing the examination.
