Sports Quota Recruitment :
Applications are invited from eligible Sports persons who are Indian nationals for recruitment against Sports Quota (Open Advt.) for the year 2017-18 in Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi.

No. of vacancies : 20
Age Limit : Age-18 to 25 yrs. as on 01/01/2018

Pay Band+ Grade Pay : 5200-20,200 +2800/- (Post for Sr. Clerk )
Educational qualification :
A Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university. He will have to pass the requisite type-writing in English 30 words per minute or Hindi 25 words per minute within four years from the date of their appointment, as per Railway Board’s letter No .E(NG)-II/2004/RR-1/48 dt.09.02.2005(RBE No.25/2005)
Minimum sports Norms :
Represented the Country in Olympic Games/Gold Medal in Asian Games (Category-A)
OR
At least 3rd Position in any of the Category-B Championships/ Events

Pay Band+ Grade Pay : 5200-20,200 + 1900/-G.P.- (Post for technician)
Educational qualification : High school passed or its equivalent. (Note: Relaxation in training period will be given as per the instructions issued by the Railway Board.)
Minimum sports Norms :
Represented the Country in any of the Category-B Championships /events
OR
At least 3rd Position in any of the Category-C Championships
OR
At least 3rd Position in Senior /Youth/Junior National Championships
OR
At least 3rd Position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association
OR
At least 3rd Position in All India University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities
OR
1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category )

Note:
In Golf for recruitment, sportsperson having I.G.U ranking from 1- 50 shall be eligible for recruitment and subject to single handicap i.e. less than 10 (in order of Merit/Amateur Merit list )shall also be eligible for recruitment. Only the current Annual All India Ranking shall be considered for these purposes.

How to apply :
Application in the format as given below along with enclosures should be sent to Dy CPO / H.Q., GM(P) office, DLW/ Varanasi, 221004 by General post only so as to reach latest by 13.11.17 up to 16.45 hrs. Superscribe on the envelope Employment no., post and “Recruitment against sports quota 2017-18 (Open advertisement)".

Applicants may also leave their application form in DROP BOX in GM (P) office, DLW, Varanasi.
Applications received after last date will not be entertained. Postal delay shall not be entertained / more than one form in single envelope will liable to be rejected.

Application Fees :
(I) -A crossed Bank Draft of any Scheduled Bank OR Cash receipt paid in Cash Office,DLW of Rs.500/-(Five hundred only) payable (For all candidates except those mentioned in sub-para 7 (II) ) in favour of " The Principal Financial Advisor ”, DLW,Varanasi payable at Varanasi should be enclosed along with the application.

(II) -A crossed Bank Draft of any Scheduled Bank OR Cash receipt paid in Cash Office, DLW of Rs.250/- (Two hundred Fifty only) payable (For all candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minorities/Women and Economic Backward Classes) in favour of “The Principal Financial Advisor”, DLW, Varanasi payable at Varanasi should be enclosed along with the application, this amount will be refunded to those applicants who actually appear in the trial.

Note: Bank Draft of any Scheduled Bank /Cash receipt paid in Cash Office, DLW Prior to issue date of notification will not be accepted.

Other instructions :
i. Self attested, new passport size photograph should be pasted at proper place in the application.
ii. Two self attested passport size photographs and copies of documents viz birth, educational, caste and sports achievements duly self attested should be attached with the application.
iii. The Railway Administration has all rights reserved to fix any date, as deemed suitable, change of place or postponement of Trials at its own convenience, which can also be cancelled due to unforeseen exigencies against which no claim will be accepted.
iv. For any legal dispute, the jurisdiction will be the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Allahabad.
v. No TA/DA will be given for appearing in the trial. Bring all original documents on the date of trial without which the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the selection. In team sports. DLW will upload the list of eligible and ineligible candidates on the DLW official website i.e dlw.indianrailways.gov.in.

Note: Completion of eligibility criteria set by candidates will be mandatory otherwise their application will be rejected.
