Engagement of Trainee i) Automobile; ii) Civil Engineering; iii) Commercial Art & Sculpture;

ENGAGEMENT OF TRAINEE (Civil Engineering) :
This Museum intends to engage Trainee (Civil Engineering) for a maximum period of two years on consolidated stipend. These Trainees are required to assist the authority in Civil Engineering Section of this Museum for repair and maintenance of building and installations, preparation of estimates and tender papers, helping engineers in construction/installation work.

Required Qualification : Passed 3 years Diploma Course in Civil. B. Tech (studying or passed out) candidates need not apply. Candidates who have passed during the last 3 (three) years would be eligible.
Consolidated Stipend : `. 11,000/-p.m.

Interested candidates may submit their applications on plain paper with complete Bio-data alongwith copies of all mark sheets from Madhyamik/SSLC onwards to the Dy. Controller of Administration of the Museum on or before 30.10.2017. Bio data of the candidates may also be sent through email at ao [AT] bitm.gov.in.

ENGAGEMENT OF TRAINEE EXHIBITION (Sculpture and Commercial Art) :
This Museum engages, as a regular affair, Trainee Exhibition (Sculpture) and Trainee Exhibition (Commercial Art) for a maximum period of two years on consolidated stipend. These Trainees are required to assist the authority in Art Section.

Required Qualification :
a) Passed BFA/BVA in Sculpture with clay models, plaster and fiberglass mould casting or its equivalent.
b) Passed BVA in Commercial Art and possess Certificate/Diploma in Computer course Graphic (like Free hand, Photoshop, Coral Draw etc.).

Candidates who have passed during the last 3 (three) years would be eligible.
Consolidated Stipend : `. 11,000/-p.m.

This Museum engages, as a regular affair, Trainee (Automobile) for a maximum period of two years on consolidated stipend. These Trainees are required to assist the authority in maintenance of the vehicles of this Museum.

Required Qualification : Passed Diploma in Automobile Engineering. B. Tech (studying or passed out) candidates need not apply. Candidates who have passed during the last 3 (three) years would be eligible.

About us :
The premise of Birla Industrial & Technological Museum, now 19A, Gurusaday Road, was known as 18, Ballygunge Store Road before 1919. Record shows that the Tagores purchased it from Mirza Abdul Karim in 1898.

Meera Devi, the fourth of Rabindranath Tagore’s five children, spent a large part of her childhood in this house. From Surendranath Tagore, G.D. Birla bought the property in 1919 and from henceforth came to be known as Birla Park.
