In partial modification of this office Notification No.226PSC/DR-25/1/2014-15 dated Guwahati, the 11th September/2017 in connection with the Screening Test for the post of Block Development Officers under P.&R.D. Deptt. scheduled to be held on 08-10-2017 (Sunday), this is for information to all concerned that the intimation letters of candidates for the Screening Test will now be uploaded on 21/09/2017 instead of 03/10/2017 notified earlier at the Commission’s website apsc.nic.in.

Candidates are requested to check their individual intimation letters in the website and report, if any discrepancy is found, to the Examination Section of APSC office or mail to apsc-asm[AT]nic.in .

Syllabus for the Screening Test :
Syllabus for the Screening Test for recruitment to the post of Block Development Officer under Panchayat & Rural Development Department which will be held on the paper of "General Studies and General English" shall comprise as follows:

This is for information to all candidates who had applied in response to Advt. No. 02/2015 issued by APSC for the post of Block Development Officers under P.&R.D. Deptt. The Preliminary Screening Test was held on 27-09-2015 (Sunday) earlier at Bongaigaon, Tezpur, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Silchar and Guwahati Centre as per terms of the said advertisement.

The selection process for the said post declared as cancelled as per opinion of the Learned Advocate General of Assam dated the 6th March 2017. Subsequently, the Commission had decided to conduct the aforesaid Screening Test on 13/08/2017 (Sunday) afresh limiting to those 8493 nos. of candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Screening Test held on 27-09-2017(Sunday).

However, the Commission later had postponed the aforesaid Screening Test due to unavoidable circumstances. Now, the Commission has decided to hold the said Preliminary Screening Test on the 08/10/20 17 (Sunday) at Guwahati centre.

All those candidates who had applied in response to the aforesaid advertisement and called for appearing in the Screening Test held on 27/09/2015 are eligible for appearing in the Screening Test scheduled on 08/10/2017. The names of all those candidates called for appearing in the Screening Test earlier are uploaded in the Commission's website apsc.nic.in.

Candidates are requested to check their individual names in the list uploaded and report, if any discrepancy is found, to the Examination Section of APSC office or mail. The intimation letters will be uploaded on 03/10/2017 at the Commission's website.
