Staff Nurse Recruitment :
Applications are invited from the eligible Indian Citizens who are Native / Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry for recruitment to the post of Staff Nurse in the Department of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry as detailed below :
Total Number of vacancies : 55
Educational / Technical qualifications :
a) A pass in H.Sc. examination or its equivalent from a recognized board
b) Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery / Psychiatric Nursing or its equivalent from a recognised institution and
c) Registration as a Nurse and Midwife or equivalent in any State Nursing Council in India.
Selection will be made of the persons possessing knowledge of the regional language of Tamil or Malayalam as the case may be according to the availability of vacancies in different regions of the Union Territory of Puducherry at the time of selection
Age Limit : Between 18-32 years as on 03/10/2017 which is the last date for receipt of duly filled in application.
How to apply :
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above shall download the Application Form from the website health.puducherry.gov.in and submit the duly filled in application to the Director along with the self-attested Photostat copies of the following testimonials in person or by “Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due” duly superscribing on the cover as “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF STAFF NURSE” so as to reach the same on or before 05:45 p.m. on 03/10/2017 to

Application incomplete in any respect or received after due date ie., 03.10.2017 will be summarily rejected. This office will not be responsible for any postal delays and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
a. Birth certificate / Transfer Certificate or Board / University Certificate indicating Date of Birth for age proof.
b. S.S.L.C./Matriculation or its equivalent & Higher Secondary or its equivalent Mark Sheets.
c. Necessary Degree/Diploma Certificate with all Marks Sheets (year-wise / semester-wise) including attempts made, if any.
The prescribed educational qualification and technical qualification acquired through regular course should have been passed prior to the last date for receipt of duly filled in application.
Applicants who have acquired the Diploma / Degree under open University Stream are not eligible for Direct Recruitment. The applicant should have studied the Diploma / Degree course in 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern on regular stream.
d. Permanent Registration Certificate for Nurse and Midwifery from any State Nursing & Midwifery Council in India.
e. Residence / Nativity Certificate
f. Community Certificate i.e., OBC (includes MBC/BCM/EBC/BT) / SC If migrant certificates are submitted in respect of OBC (includes MBC/BCM/EBC/BT) / SC applicants, their applications will be considered against Un-reserved category.
g. Candidates who are Differently Abled Person (PH) and under the Category of “One Leg (OL)”, should necessarily submit the relevant certificates issued by the Department of Health & Family Welfare Services / Medical Authorities, Puducherry alongwith related records in the prescribed format only.
Certificates received from any other authority by the candidate will not be accepted.
h. Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married should submit a certificate from the Revenue Department to the effect that they should not get married at the time of joining the post if they are selected.
i. Employment Exchange Identity Card duly registered and renewed as on date, bearing NCO code Nos. for each qualifications acquired by the candidate.
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES :
Applicants should read the following instructions carefully before applying :
1. The application should be filled in neatly and legibly in block letters using a ball point pen without any overwriting / erasures
2. The recent passport size photograph of the candidate affixed in the application should be got attested by a Gazetted Officer.
3. Candidates from other States / Union Territories are not eligible to apply for the post.
4. No original certificates should be sent along with the application and only self attested copy of Certificates (i.e., Birth Certificate, Residence/Nativity Certificate, Community Certificate, Education and Diploma/Degree Certificate/Mark Sheets, PH Certificate) required to be sent along with the application.
All original certificates are required to be produced only at the time of certificate verification after the notification of result.
5. The applications which are not in complete shape, or without signatures both in application and checklist and without enclosing the requisite certificates / mark sheets etc. as indicated above, will be summarily rejected and further correspondence will not be entertained for any reasons therefor.
The candidate shall ensure himself / herself that all the requisite attested copies of certificates are attached alongwith his / her application within the due date for submission and the Department will not be held responsible for any lapse in this regard.
No intimation will be given for receipt of late application and also the result of recruitment would not be intimated on any account to the non-selected candidates.
Only the selected candidates will be called for certificate verification. No correspondence or interim enquiries from the candidates will be entertained in this regard. Selection list will be displayed in the Notice Board of this Directorate and office website health.puducherry.gov.in.
6. Selection will be strictly on the basis of merit of marks obtained by the applicant in the qualifying exams and Employment seniority marks as prescribed in the method of selection.
7. The applications received after the due date and time scheduled i.e., received after 05:45 p.m. on 03.10.2017 will be rejected without any intimation to the candidate. Application, which is incorrect / ineligible, incomplete or wrongly filled in will also not be considered and such application will not be returned to the candidates.
8. Government servants working in the State/Central Government /Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel only within the due date i.e., on 03.10.2017 before 05:45 p.m.
The applications of In-service candidates which are not duly forwarded by their Head of Departments / Offices within the due date and time i.e., 05:45 p.m. on 03.10.2017 will be summarily rejected. Advance copy should not be sent and it will not be considered.
9. Change of address, if any, after submission of application should be intimated to the Department or otherwise the Department will not be responsible for any postal delay / non delivery of letters etc.
10. Candidates should submit only one application at a time.
11. The Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry reserves the right to enhance / reduce the number of vacancies and also to cancel the recruitment process, if necessity arises on administrative reasons. The decision of the Government shall be the final regarding the eligibility of candidates or otherwise.
