Office Assistant Recruitment :
As per the approval of the Vice Chancellor, a walk-in-interview will be held on 09.09.17 at 11:00 AM at Science & technology Cell, Main Administrative Building (2nd Floor) to fill up one post of Office Assistant in the Nodal Cell (ICAR Education) on contractual basis.

The details of the post including requisite qualification and pay are as under.
NAME OF THE POST : Office Assistant
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :
i) Graduate in any stream
ii) General proficiency in English and working knowledge/skill of Computer(particularly MS Office and internet) for office purpose
EMOLUMENT : Rs.12,000/- per month(fixed)

The post is purely temporary and terminable at any time without notice.

The candidate desiring to appear in the walk-in-interview shall have to produce original testimonials and submit up-to-date bio-data in a standard form of application with attested copies of all testimonials at the time of interview. The details are also available in the office of the undersigned.

Candidates will be evaluated by a Committee for their knowledge on English and Computer. No T.A/ D.A will be admissible for appearing the walk-in-interview.

Technical Assistant :
Walk in interview for the following positions will be held in the Office of the Director, DBT-AAU Centre, AAU, Jorhat as per time and date given below. Candidates may appear for the interview with bio-data, one copy of passport size photographs, original and attested copies of all testimonials must be presented at the time of interview.

Name of the post : Assistant Professor(Ad-hoc) in the discipline Horticulture (Floriculture ).

I. Pay : Rs. 25.000/ Per month (Rs. 30,000/- p.m.for Ph.D degree holder)

III. Essential qualifications :
Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture.
Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in the discipline of Horticulture with specialization in Floriculture.

Note : For universities adopting scales other than 4 point or 10 point, the minimum CGPA (MCGPA) requirement shall be worked out by the formula -
MCGPA = 3+0.667 (Scale Point – 4). (Where, MCGPA = Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average, Scale Point = Highest value of the scale).

(Thus, for 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 Point Scales the MCGPAs are 3.00, 3.67, 4.33, 5.00, 5.67, 6.34 and 7.00, respectively when approximated at two places after decimal)

Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is not required for disciplines in which NET is not conducted.

NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree, provided such degree is obtained under course credit system in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree, 2009 Regulation) and the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. NET requirement is not mandatory for the discipline Agricultural Engineering.

General Instructions:
A) Age limit as on 01.01.2017 : 38 years (maximum). The age is relaxable by the number of full years of service rendered in AAU/ICAR/CSIR/DST/SAUs and other Govt. Institutions up to a maximum of 5(five) years as supported by the relevant documents.

B) Up to the posts of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions, candidates from the State of Assam should only apply. They need to be the permanent residents of Assam.

C) Submission of application forms :
i) Application form in prescribed format is to be submitted to the Registrar, AAU, Jorhat on or before 14th September, 2017.

ii) Application fee is to be deposted at Powerjyoti Account of the University lying with the State Bank of India, AAU Jorhat Branch (A/c No. 33019714091). For payment, a challan copy may be downloaded from the University website and fee-paid Challan copy may is to be enclosed along with the application form. The prescribed fee is Rs. 300/- in case of general candidates sand Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates.

iii) Reservation shall be as per Government of Assam Rules.
iv) In service candidates must send their application through proper channel.
v) Applications received late and found incomplete will not be considered.
vi) A self addressed stamped (worth Rs.6/- envelope size 23 cm x 10 cm should be sent along with the application form.
