Timing & duration of Online (CBT) Examination 10:00 AM to 1:00 P.M. (180 minutes)

Important Note:
1. The candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards from website aiimsexams.org. Only website generated Admit Cards will be treated authentic and permissible to appear in the said Examination. Admit card will be sent by Speed post also.
2. As per directions received from Recruitment Cell AIIMS, New Delhi the Online (CBT) mode Recruitment Examination of the above mentioned post will be conducted without pre-examination screening of the applications of the candidate with regard to eligibility.
Hence, the candidates will be PROVISIONALLY allowed to appear for the Online (CBT) Recruitment Examination. However, before declaration of the final result of the Online (CBT) mode Recruitment Examination and qualifying Physical Standard Test the application form of qualified candidates will be screened and the eligibility will be determined.
Provisional Results of qualified candidates will be announced as appropriate, only if found eligible after such screening. The original documents of all selected candidates related to fulfilment of eligibility criteria, experience etc. will be verified by the Recruitment Cell before final appointment.
3. All applicants are required to visit the website aiimsexams.org regularly as all subsequent Corrigendum / Addendum / Updates will only be uploaded on the website.
Overview of Scheme of Examination:
(i) The Examination and Evaluation will be in two stages
Stage-I: Online(CBT) mode Theory Examination with minimum qualifying marks for eligibility to appear in the Stage-II Examinations.
(ii) Stage-II: Physical Standards Test (PST) with minimum qualifying physical eligibility parameters to appear in the Stage-II examinations.
Online (CBT) mode Theory Examination (Stage-I) :
Nature of Examination : This will be an eligibility examination for appearing in Stage-II and for preparing merit list.
Language and mode of Examination : The Language of Examination will be bilingual (Hindi and English). Questions will appear on the screen and answers are to be clicked with the help of a mouse only.
Duration of Examination and Number of Questions: Three Hours (180 minutes), 200 MCQs
Number of Papers for Stage-I Examination
a. Type of Questions in Paper I:
Objective Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of Single Response Type (One response out of four)
(i)General Intelligence and Reasoning,
(ii) General Awareness and Professional Knowledge,
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude and Ability,
(iv) English and Hindi Language and Comprehension
b. Division of Questions and Marks Distribution for Paper I:
MCQ of 200 questions of 200 marks (180 Minutes)
(i) General Intelligence and Reasoning (60 MCQs/60 marks)
(ii) Quantitative Aptitude and Ability (60 MCQs/60 marks)
(iii) General Awareness & Professional Knowledge (60 MCQs/60 marks)
(iv) English and Hindi Language and Comprehension (20 MCQs/20 marks)
c. Syllabus for Paper I:
The syllabus will be in accordance with education qualification and experience as mentioned in the advertisement.
d. Marks for Paper I:
Each MCQ shall carry One mark for every correct answer. There is a Negative Marking of 1/3 marks for each incorrect / wrong answer.
e. Qualifying Marks
Total Marks: 200 marks (Two Hundred marks).
(a) Candidates will have to score a total of 50% for General, and 40% for SC to qualify in the Theory Examination (Stage-I) to appear in Stage-II Physical Standards Test (PST).
(b) The candidates who will qualify in Stage-I will only be called for Stage-II.
