Crane Operator Recruitment :
Walk in Interview on 23.08.2017 at 14:30 hrs for selection of 5 Nos crane operators on contract basis on SCI’s Managed Vessels at SCI HEAD OFFICE, SHIPPING HOUSE, BASEMENT (CREW SELECTION ROOM), 245, MADAME CAMA ROAD, NARIMAN POINT , MUMBAI- 400021, INDIA.
1. SCI has planned to conduct Walk in interview for the eligible applicants on 23.08.2017 at crew selection room of SCI Basement at 1430hrs for the contract crane operators post on ONGC Owned SCI Operated vessels.
This crane operator selection will be for one year(subjected to change on discretion of SCI Ltd) on contract basis. The cranes specification & capacities on each vessel and experience criteria to work on these vessels as listed below.
2. Applicant shall be of below 59 years old as on interview date and he shall have medical fitness certificate from a DGS approved doctor. Medical fitness will be verified by the SCI Empanelled doctor upon selection-

Applicant should be in possession of Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate, Passport, PAN Card, AADHAR CARD, INDOS Number, yellow fever vaccination, Police clearance issued by DSP and above rank within last six months , STCW-2010 Modular (Emergency First Aid, PSSR,FPFF,PST) ,Hydrogen sulphide(H2S) Course, STSDSD& Helicopter underwater escape Techniques (HUET) course certificates issued by DGS-approved institutes.
The validity of modular course certificate shall be valid for at least for two years from the interview date. The candidates having crane operation simulation training/ crane operation course certificate shall be given preference.
4. Applicants should possess CDC, AOA & Relevant letter from the employer, certifying the experience for the type of the crane operated. The above letter issued by his employer will be subject to verification.
Selection process or selected candidates may be terminated on sole discretion of SCI Ltd without any prior intimation without giving any reason.
5. The wages shall be paid on per day basis which will include leave wages and allowances as per NMB agreement. Overtime will be at actual hours worked. Minimum work/rest hours will be complied by the Master of the vessels as per MLC-2006. Tax will be deducted as per Income Tax Rules at source.
6. The selected candidates posting will be subjected to vessels’ owners (ONGC Ltd) approval. Upon obtaining the owner’s approval, these candidates will be posted on board on contract basis with the 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off contract for the total period of 12 months.
Wherever vessels are fitted with the two cranes the applicant should qualify for higher capacity crane experience criteria.
7. a) On selection day, at given time, all applicants must muster/gather at SCI Head Office, in crew selection room of Basement of Shipping House at 1430hrs
b) Nominated officers from Fleet Personnel Department and Operation Department of SCI will be present in selection hall for selecting crane operator as per requirement.
c) After verification of all documents and interview, list of selected candidates will be uploaded on SCI website. Selected candidates posting will be subject to medical examination by company medical officer.
d) After medical examination, medically fit crane operators will be allocated one of our managed vessels and subsequently posted on the vessel on contract basis, subject to verification of documents and port formalities etc.
e) The list of the candidates selected and published on SCI Website will be valid for one month from the date of interview, if not reported within 30 days, the candidature will be cancelled.
