Cochin Shipyard Limited, a premier Mini Ratna Company of Government of India invites Online applications to the following posts for appointment on contract basis:

A. FABRICATION ASSISTANTS ON CONTRACT
Name of Posts/Trade : Welder
Number of Vacancies : 88
Qualification : Pass in SSLC, ITI (NTC) and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade.
Experience : Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in a Shipyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Name of Posts/Trade : Sheet Metal Worker
Number of Vacancies : 28
Qualification : Pass in SSLC, ITI (NTC) and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade.
Experience : Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in a Shipyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

B. OUTFIT ASSISTANTS ON CONTRACT

Name of Posts/Trade : Semi Skilled Rigger on contract
Number of Vacancies : 26
Qualification : Pass in IV Std.
Experience : Minimum of three years experience in rigging of which two years in rigging of heavy duty machine parts, assisting in the erection of machinery/ equipment etc, in a Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company. Good knowledge of splicing work of wire ropes.

Period of Contract :
All posts above are temporary in nature and for a maximum period of three years subject to project requirements and performance.

Age :
Age shall not exceed 30 years as on 30 July 2017 relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per Government of India guidelines.

Application Fee :
(i) Application fee of ` 100/- (Non - refundable) should be remitted using Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) through the Online Application facility which can be accessed through our website cochinshipyard.com (Careers page) from 19 July 2017 to 30 July 2017. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

(ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Disability (PWD) need not pay application fee. They are exempted from payment of application fee.

(iii) All applicants for whom the fee is applicable, i.e except those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Person with Disability (PWD), should invariably pay application fee of ` 100/- in favour of Cochin Shipyard Ltd (by means of Online mode of payment) as stipulated in clause d (i) above. It is important to note that, their candidature will be considered only on receipt of application fee.

How to apply :
(i) Applicants should go through the User Manual published in our website cochinshipyard.com (Careers page) before filling the online application. Applicants should not submit more than one application. Application once submitted shall be final.

(ii) Applicants meeting the requirements notified may submit their application through online from 19 July 2017 to 30 July 2017 and the facility can be accessed through our website cochinshipyard.com (Careers page). Application submitted direct or by any other mode will not be accepted.

(iii) Applicants should ensure that all the entries have been correctly filled in and application submitted successfully. Filling of garbage/junk details in any of the fields can lead to rejection of your application.

(iv) Application must be complete in all respects as per the Advertisement Notification. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.

(v) After submitting applications through online, applicants are required to take a print out of their online application possessing the unique registration number generated by the system. It is important to note that, the unique registration number will be obtained only upon successful submission of online application. The Registration Number on the online job application form should be quoted for any correspondence with CSL.

(vi) Applicants should send print out of online application (possessing registration number) duly signed, with their recent passport size photograph affixed thereon to

by post, along with self-attested copies of certificates towards proof of age, caste, disability (if any), educational qualification, experience etc.

Applicants shall retain one copy of online application print out with them for their reference. The envelope containing the online application print out and certificates should be super scribed on top as “Application to the post of .......................(Name of post and trade) on contract basis & Registration No. ……………..".

(vii) It is important to note that, the candidature will be considered only on receipt of print out of online application (possessing registration number) along with copies of relevant documents/certificates as applicable by post.

(viii) For applying online, the website will remain functional from 19 July 2017 to 30 July 2017. The last date for submission of applications through online 30 July 2017. The last date of receipt of online application print out, self-attested copies of certificates by post is 07 Aug 2017.

(ix) Cochin Shipyard Ltd will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit in submission of application within the specified time. Applications received after the stipulated date will not be considered.
