MAIN PROJECT :
DESIGN AND MODIFICATION OF NEW HYDRAULIC MOTOR DRIVE MECHANISM FOR DEFLECTOR PINCHROLL IN ANNEALING AND PICKLING LINE ONE
The project aims to provide solution for the existing problem in the deflector of Annealing and Pickling Line - 1 (APL-1).
A carden shaft is the key part is used to transfer the power from an electric motor to the deflector pinch roll drive. Due to mismatch of speed between deflector pinch roll drive and tension reel drive. While operation, it was observed that the shaft is subjected to heavy shear force and breaks often. The entire rolling process is mechanical breakdown till it stops.
We designed an efficient hydraulic power drive to replace the existing electrical setups. The replacing hydraulic power pack is available at exit section of the annealing and pickling line same was used to actuate the hydraulic motor by fixing one DC valve and pipe connections.
It is simpler, durable and most cost effective.

DESCRIPTION : Our project mainly deals with the improvement in productivity in TATA MOTORS LINE at Rane Engine Valve Ltd by identifying the bottle neck machine and reducing the cycle time in it by using the management tools like time study, method study, micro motion study.
