Science Educator Recruitment :
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for one ‘Science Educator’ on temporary and contractual basis in ‘Science Camp for school students’ project at West Bengal State Council of Science & Technology (WBSCST), Vigyan Chetana Bhavan, 4th Floor, DD 26/B, Salt Lake Sector I, Kolkata-700064.

Essential Qualification: 1st class Post Graduate degree in Pure Sciences from Indian University, NET/GATE preferred
Experience: Two years experience in science education related activity/ laboratory/ hands on experiment kit development.
Age: Not above 40 years as on last date of application.
Remuneration: Rs. 21,000/- per month (consolidated)

Job responsibilities:
Science Educator will do different activities all through the project duration like
i. plan for experimental kits development,
ii. plan for non residential camp/training /workshop for teachers /students,
iii. demonstration of some experimental kits during camp both in house and outreach programmes,
iv. active participation in outreach programme at district/ block level science camp in order to supervise the proper utilization of fund given to hosting organization for the specified purpose.
Duration of project: 2 years

Note:
1. Applicants are requested to apply in given format along with attested photocopies of all the supporting testimonials to Dr. S. Paul, Senior Scientist, WBSCST.
2. The last date of receipt of completed application form is 31st July, 2017 till 5 p. m.
3. List of eligible candidates for interview will be communicated through email/mobile phone indicating date and time of interview.
4. In case of large number of applications, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of criteria to be fixed by the Selection Committee. Decision of Selection Committee is final.
5. Candidates with incomplete applications will not be considered.
6. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
